Endeavors a bitch

He had been out when it had happened. He had been walking around the sketchy town centre that they lived near.

He was collecting little bits along the way. He had brought his phone and a small bag for all the little things he picked up. Of course he didn't have a lot of money but he had enough to get everyone a little something every now and again. Just something to make them smile.

He may have been a villain but he did like it when he made the league smile. Especially when he would give them little gifts like shiny rocks, or special coins.

He had his own little collection of trinkets and things. He kept them in a special wooden box, labelled so no one accidentally threw it away.

He had been admiring a small shiny rock he had picked up from the ground. It was a cool black colour and it was smooth and round.

He was wondering who he should give it to when he looked up and saw him. His heart skipped a beat and for a minute, he forgot how to breathe properly.

Fuck.

He darted into and alleyway hoping he hadn't made eye contact like he'd thought he had. Otherwise things would get a lot worse for him.

He was nervous. Dabi had sworn he'd seen him look directly at him. A minute went by, or maybe two? He didn't exactly know.

Either way he stepped out from the ally. He jumped stumbling backwards when he saw the hero towering over him. He stumbled back down the ally as the hero followed him.

He came to a dawning realisation that he had just completely backed himself into a hole.

He was shoved to the ground and he whipped his head back to look at the hero behind him.

He let out a loud scream. He screamed for help and for him to be left alone. The league wouldn't hear him from here. They lived to far away. The hero sent a flame towards Dabi and he screamed again.

This time he was screaming that he was sorry. He had blood and tears running down his face and he felt like he was a child again.

The hero turned around walking away from the screaming man. Why was he walking away? Was he pitying him for once?

Dabi couldn't care less. His breathing was panicked and his hands were trembling as he took out his phone.

He dialled compress's number as fast as he could in absolute tears. When he picked up he just started rambling to him begging him to come find him and take him home.

Compress quickly realised something was wrong with the state the other was in and asked where he was. Dabi gave his location to him through choked tears before going back to sobbing incoherently.

Compress quickly put on his coat and got ready to find him and went out the door. He walked down town and looked around for the ally he had said he was in.

He found the raven sobbing and wiping blood off his face next to a cat who seemed to be trying to help him.

Dabi picked up the cat after wiping the blood away and hugged it,
"Im ok little kitty..." he mumbled his eyes starting to fill with tears again before he started to cry.

Compress when over and sat down with the pair gently ruffling the ravens hair.
"Hey Dabs, what's wrong? What happened?" He asked putting a kind hand on his shoulder.

Dabi looked up with tears streaming down his face and blood pouring from where he'd been hurt.
"He's gonna come back for me! He's gonna hurt you and everyone and he's gonna kill me!" He sobbed leaning forward and burying his face in the others coat the cat now laid in his lap purring to sooth him.

Compress had a look of anger and sadness mixed on his face, angry at Endeavor for laying his hands on Dabis but sad because he could see just how scared the other was.
"Come on, come here." He said gently hugging the other and letting him cry to him.

Dabi let out a small scream and Compress looked down at the raven,
"Dear did I hurt you? Are you ok?" He asked lifting the others head up a little to look at him.

Dabis face was covered in blood a lot of it dripping down onto his t-shirt and the ground.
"He hurt me again! I don't wanna go home! Not now not ever please!" He begged gripping the other tight.

Now he was angry. He had put his hands on him again and hurt him.
"Dabi where did he hurt you? Did It leave a mark? Do I need to bandage you up?" He asked looking to see if any visible marks were there.

Nothing he was able to see injury wise but he noticed that the ravens clothes had been torn and charred somewhat at the sleeves and the bottom of his coat.

Dabi curling into himself in tears before uncurling and pointing and where he had been hurt. He pointed to his stomach and rolled up his t-shirt to show him a bright red mark across his upper stomach.

Compress looked at the mark and dtarted to speak,
"Ok dear you'll be ok but I'm going to take you home and reseat it ok?" He said helping the other up.

The cat jumped off his lap circling Dabi's legs and meowing to see if he was alright. Dabi bent down wincing slightly and picked up the cat scratching behind its ear and giving it a hug.
"Can we take them home...?" He asked holding the purring cat to his chest.

Compress looked at the cat smiling slightly and scratching it behind its ear as well. Dabi already had a cat so another should be fine as long as it didn't become anyone else's problem.

That's how Tomura put it anyway,
"Of course you can but let's get home it looks like it's going to rain." He said looking up at the already thundering grey clouds.

For a moment he had almost forgotten what had happened but then it came back to him what he was doing halfway down the street. He remembered what Endeavor had done and he tried to forget about it while they walked home so he didn't upset Dabi.

Dabi wrapped the cat in his coat speeding up a little when it started to rain. He knew that rain did not feel nice on sensitive skin and when 1000 droplets hit you at once it wasn't comfortable in any way.

When they got home they went into Dabi's room and he sat down so Compress could treat the burns he had gotten.

Compress came back over with the first aid kit and started to treat the burn.
"There you go, it should heal a little better now" he said standing up and putting the first aid kit away and sitting down with Dabi.

Dabi had been quiet for the entire time he had been sorting out the wound so he felt something was off. He sat next to the raven putting and arm on his shoulder.

Dabi looked at the floor his eyes filled with tears,
"Hey buddy what's wrong? Your all ok now." He said seeing the tears.

Dabi wiped his eyes carefully only for him to not stop crying.
"He hurt me it's not fair..." he said quietly, leaning into the magician. "I  never wanted to be a villain..."

Compress sighed letting the other lean onto him,
"I don't think many people here did Dabs... I think we weren't given the same chance." He looked away for a minute before turning back.

Dabi curled into the other sobbing.
"I just want to see my family again... without him there." Dabi sobbed burying his face into the man's jacket.

Compress gently rubbed Dabi's back.
"I know, i know..."
