An Hour Glass Of Memories

Dabi stumbled in the door of the bar drenched head to toe in rain water and followed by a trail of light grey smoke.

When he regained some of the very little grace he had he walked over to Compress hugging him. Compress looked up,
"Ah hello Dabi." He said. "Anything interesting happen while you were out?"

Dabi thought for a moment,
"Well I got into a fight, some guy hit me with a quirk nothin happened though don't really know what it did." He said.

Compress seemed to only hear 'I got hit by a quirk and I'm probably fucked' instead of what he'd actually said.
"Are you ok? Not hurt?" He asked checking his arms and face for any marks.

Dabi shook his head.
"Nope all good! Just feel a bit odd." He said smiling. Compress sighed.
"Tell me if it gets worse." He said sitting back down.

Dabi nodded heading off to his room. He did feel a bit strange, his head was a bit foggy and his whole body felt a bit twitchy. It was probably nothing but he was an over thinker. Only slightly. Ok maybe a lot.

He laid down on his bed laying on his side and wrapping himself in his quilt blanket. It was nice and warm and fluffy.

He almost immediately fell fast asleep his black messy hair flopped in front of his face.

When he woke up he felt funny. He could feel something resting on his head and lower back. He stretches yawning and sitting up still feeling twitchy.

He suddenly felt something move his hair. It was subtle and he wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't have had a piece of hair fall in his face again.

He got up pulling on a hoodie and trousers. He felt something on his back. Had he fallen asleep with some bag still on. He looked to his side and saw a black fluffy tail curling round his arm waving slightly.

His face was shocked and his eyes widened. He ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirror.

He had black fluffy cat ears sat on top of his head. Toga had to have put them on him. T
He pulled at them before letting go and yelling as they hurt when he did so.

What? No, he couldn't be a... cat? Could he? He had the ears and tail... what had happened? How did this happen?!

He thought back to the day prior and remembered face palming. He groaned,
"That's what that guys quirk did!"

It must of been when he had been hit with the quirk. He had somehow been given a new tail and ears. Fuck.

He tried to sway his tail only managing to slightly move it. He practised a little more and eventually got the movement down and went on to his ears managing to twitch and move them to his will.

Hey maybe this wasn't so bad, he was a pretty cool cat after all.

He went out into the corridor after washing his face and brushing his teeth. He had noticed he now had sharp pointy teeth made for meat.

He stood in the corridor and all attention turned to him,
"What. The. Actual. Fuck." Shigaraki asked.

Dabi laughed nervously,
"So I got hit by a quirk and this happened...?" He said smiling a little. Toga eyes widened running over to him.
"You match what we've been saying now!" She yelled hugging him.

He chuckled ruffling her hair. She quickly reached up to pet his ears and he stood up fully catching her arm.
"Uh uh. Nope. Don't know what that does."

She pouted crossing her arms in a sulk,
"But your so cute as a cat!" She whined trying to jump to reach him again only for him to take a step backwards.

Dabi looked at her with a little smile,
"Because I don't know what it does!" He said hugging her. "Now go sit back down."

He went over to Compress and sat down resting his head on him.
"Hello!" He smiled at the older man and hugged him. Compress looked up,
"I did say you should tell me if anything happened, this wasn't what I expected though." He said.

Dabi gave him a look of 'and you think I did' before looking at the book he was reading.

He never actually learnt to read. Or spell. Or write. Or anything actually. He couldn't. It never made sense to him. At all.

He then almost immediately looked at the game Shigaraki was playing on the TV from the other side of the sofa. It was a PVP game.

He was quite interested in it and became invested pretty fast. He watched as the other smashed buttons on his controller and spam press the A button.

Suddenly he felt someone playing with his new ears. It felt... different. It was nice but it was a bit unusual. He settled back making a noise of happiness letting them play with his ears.

Toga squealed as Dabi let out a purr of content. She had gone over to try and pet his ears and she had gotten to do it! She carried on petting his ears until she got bored before going off to play her own game.

Dabi made a noise when Toga stopped playing with the new fluffy ears of his. It had been comforting. He laid his head on Compresses shoulder nudging him.

He looked up,
"Yes Dabi?" He asked. Dabi nudged him again putting his head on his lap laying down and getting comfortable. "Ah you want me to do your hair?" He asked again.

Dabi nodded with a smile closing his eyes. Compress put his book down patting the others head and starting to de-tangle the fluffy mess that was his hair.

Dabi let out a contented noise letting the other mess around with his hair and ears. It was just like his mother used to.

He fell asleep pretty quickly purring like a cat which Toga found adorable. She came over sitting next to him and watching his tail flick around as he dreamt.
