You were different from the moment you were born, that's why your parents called you a "curse".

All because you had wings growing out of your back.

Today was your 17th birthday and you decided you had enough of your parents' abuse.

You packed the most important things into a backpack and ran away.

You ran through a forest for what seemed like forever.

You had a jacket on to cover your wings but since it was getting hot and you wanted to find a city you took the jacket off and started to fly.

After 20 minutes you found a village so you landed back in the forest to put your jacket back on and you went into the village.

You saw a boy playing with kids and the next thing he did was…shapeshift!?.

Your mind was blown away, there were other people like you in this world!.

At least a bit similar you wanted to walk by but as you did the boy turned around and began talking to you.

"Hello beautiful i haven't seen you around before are you new?" he asked and you gave a small nod.

You weren't used to talking to other people since your parents always locked you in your room. 

You never really meet someone before.

"Well then beautiful let me show you around and my name is camilo by the way" said the nice boy in front of you.

He grabbed your hand and started to show you around at the end of the tour you were walking to his house which he called "casita".

You were surprised when the house opened the doors by itself but he quickly explained to you how this house and this family was magical.

You both went inside and he introduced you to the family which quickly took a liking to you.

"Do you want to stay for dinner?" Julieta asked you.

"Oh i don't wanna burden you any further" you said trying to make an escape before they noticed your wings.

"You won't be a burden please we would be honoured to have you" said Alma.

"Then i guess i'm staying" as soon as you said these words you saw their faces light up.

Once dinner was served a girl named Mirabel wanted to take your jacket off but you quickly snatched her hand away.

"I prefer to leave the jacket on," you explained.

"But dear it is quite hot" said pepa, a bit concerned.

"I will be fine thank you" you said before sitting next to isabella and luisa.

You all started to eat and Isabella asked the first question "where are you from y/n?".

"Oh i'm from *hometown*" you said and the others almost choked on their food.

"That's so far away how did you get here?" Felix asked.

You quietly answered "by foot" and suddenly all eyes were on you if they weren't already before.

"You must be really tired then you probably traveled for days let me set up a room for you" luisa suggested.

"I'm fine i don't need to burden you more" you said feeling a bit awkward but the family wasn't having it.

"Nonsense dear you probably don't even have a place to stay at. 

You can live with us till you find a good place" Alma insisted and you gave in to stay for the night at least.

After dinner you followed Isabella who took you to your room which you shared with mirabel for the night.
