30. "Why does my heart speed up when i'm around you?"

In an old run down apartment building on the outskirts of Chicago, Jisung and Felix found themselves comfortable in their own apartments across the hall from each other.

What started off as neighbors, turned into friends. Felix went to the roof top to clear his head and Jisung went there to get high. That was how they met. When Jisung found out Felix sold edibles on the side, the boy became his favorite plug and his best friend.

Felix was out on his balcony enjoying the view of the city lights in the night sky. Police sirens, smoke from Chimneys, neighbors conversing on their steps before their final good nights, dogs barking, children running around smiling and laughing. He leaned onto the rail enjoying the smell and the fresh air. He closed his eyes just letting his ears and nose describe everything for him.

Including the small knocks on his apartment door. It didn't take a genius to figure out who it was. Jisung always kept a pattern with his knocks. He would knock twice, pause, then knock three more times.

Felix smiled and stepped back into the warmth of his apartment heading over to the front door. He opened it to spot a slightly red eyed Jisung who was probably half way on his way to cloud nine with the biggest smile on his face.

"Hi baby." He said, joy lacing his tone. Felix smiled and rolled his eyes then let the boy in. He watched as he stumbled his way towards the couch and laid there, face down.

Calling Felix baby was a habit Jisung's had since the day they met. A habit that always made Felix's heart stop for a second then speed up. A habit that managed to cast red hues over his freckled cheeks and burn the tips of his ears. Every. Single. Time.

He shut his door and walked over to the boy plopping himself down on the coffee table. Jisung's head popped up and he smiled at the boy. His uncut hair was already long enough to cover his eyes and nose, but you could easily spot the way his eyes got redder by the second.

"When'd you start?" He asked. "5 minutes ago, it's 4/20 blaze it up bro." And that's when Felix knew he was lying. He laughed before answering . "Jisung 4/20 is tomorrow. We've been talking about it all day." Jisungs cheeks flared up and he shrugged. "I pre-gamed."

Felix fell off the table laughing. "I already made brownies then, let's pre-game it together." Jisung jumped up and down on the couch giggling. He raced towards the kitchen and grabbed the tray from the counter then raced back to the living room. Felix made himself comfortable on the couch putting on Criminal Minds. The older sat down next to him, no space in-between them and pulled the tray onto his lap.

They both were too caught up in the show to realize that the entire tray of brownies were gone and the show ended 3 minutes ago.

Until Felix started giggling at the wall. Jisung looked over at him and started laughing when they made eye contact. It went on like that for the next hour until Felix finally calmed himself.

"Hey sung." Jisung coughed and wiped the tears from his eyes trying to calm himself down from laughing again. "Y-yeah baby."

"I really like when you call me baby.."

"And I like calling you baby."

Felix smiled. "Can I ask you something?" The older nodded. "Why does my heart speed up when I'm around you?"

Jisung's eyes widened. Felix's lack of experience with relationships wasn't a secret. He knew the boys only relationship was high school and even then his boyfriend was an asshole. Felix had told him all about it and the anger Jisung felt when he heard how the guy treated him was enough to make his blood boil. That was the day he realized he himself was in love with Felix. So to hear that Felix might feel the same way he couldn't help but let his thoughts go crazy.
