Author's note: Okay I'm done stop telling me what to do mom, the reason that Hicks new there wuz gunna be an asasintion at the dinner was bcuz Dumbledore told her, and the guy looked weird, so it made sense like what would you do?

Newt and Thaddeus entered the great hall of Hogwarts. There, Jacob is sitting with some little girls, having a good time. Seeing them he gets up and moves towards them with a copy of the Daily Prophet in his hands. It said 'Muggle Assassin!' on the front page and had a picture of Jacob the muggle on it. "It's me. I'm the assassin." Jacob chortled proudly. They started approaching Dumbledore who was at the other end of the room.

"The people here are so nice!" Jacob continued. "I even got some candy from the kids over at that table."

Newt smiled. "That's good. Not everyone appreciates the taste of cockroach clusters."

Jacob froze, and looked back at the kids. They snickered, watching him.

Jacob pointed at them. "You and me are going be sharing the front page of the daily prophet tomorrow!" He promised.

"Well good job everybody!" Dumbledore said as they all gathered around him. "You were as chaotic and as unplanned as possible. A very effective countersight."

"So things are better now?" Hicks asked.

"Well, no actually. Things are quite a bit worse. The leader of the International Confederacy of Wizards choose easy, instead of right." Dumbledore said bitterly. "Grindlewald is a candidate. The deciding process begins tomorrow."

He sighed. "Until then you can stay at Hogsmeade with my brother."

---That night---

They were all in the dingy hovel that was the Hog's Head. Dumbledore's brother put forth some slop in a bowl and gave them each. "Never before," Thaddeus put forth, "Has something looked so disgusting, yet tasted so good." He narrowed his eyes. "It should be against the rules."

Dumbledore and his brother left to go upstairs, leaving Newt, Thaddeus, Bunty, and Jacob to watch the baby Qilin, which had been let out of its case. It had a particular liking to Jacob. He chuckled. "Ho hoho."  He laughed. He was feeds it some of his own share of the slop.

"It likes you. It can sense those who are pure of heart." Newt said placidly. He got up, and went upstairs. He stopped outside of Dumbledore's room, hearing voices from a crack in the door. "He's your son, brother," Albus was saying. "The phoenix proves it. He's your son." Newt knocks on the door. "Come in!" Albus said.

Behind Albus was a mirror, that was foggy in the corner. Written in the fog was the phrase 'Do you know what it's like to be alone?'

"Ignore that." Dumbledore said.

Dumbledore's brother leaves, Newt walks in. He points to a painting on the wall of girl. "That was our sister, Ariana." He exposits. She was an obscurial, just like creedence. Maybe that's how Grindlewald started his obsession, I don't know."

He sighed.

"One day me, my brother and Grindlewald had a fight. Me and Grindy had decided to travel the world togehter. My brother didn't like it. We drew our wands. Garret was laughing. A spell or two was cast, and Arianna was caught in the crossfire." Dumbledore looks sad.

"I'm sure you're sister was better-" Newt started, but Dumbledore cut him off. "No, don't disappoint me like that."

He left, knowing the secrets of Dumbldore.

---Garret's Grotto.---

Grindlewald was sitting in a pool of etherial looking water. He was holding the dead Qilun in his hands. And was looking at it tenderly. He dips the dead carcass under the water. When he takes the creatures head above the water. It stirs like a puppet on the string. It swims to the edge of the pool and stands up unsteadily. It moves, but it does not appear alive. He appears washed out like an overused and tattered napkin. Creedence walks in. Grindlewald, in one swift movement, uses the water to press him against the wall, and then he is there, choking him.

"Fail me one more time, Auralies," He whispers, "And I will dispose of you."

Garret throws him to the ground.

"Now get out of my sight."
