Subject 9

Part 4: The great escape

Nine was called to Dr.Stone's office and she went in and she saw it was a small room with a desk and a big window this gave Nine an idea because she did not like it here, when she went in Dr.Stone told her 

"You have enough control so you can go back to practicing with Five." But she was staring out the window to see snow covering the ground. This was the only window she had seen where there were lot's of trees. The real outside looked alot better than the photos on the walls. 

"Nine" Dr.Stone called 

"Sorry, what" Nine wasn't paying attention. 

"I said, you can practice with Five again" Dr.Stone repeated 

"Okay, that's great." Nine said not paying full attention, still staring out of the window, she went to practice with Five the only time she saw him before this was when they passed each other in the hallways. When she saw him she ran and hugged him. 

"Hey, stranger." Nine joked 

"Hey, wow, haven't seen you in a long time." Five laughed 

"I know anyways-" 

"Nine, come over here" Dr.Stone interrupted. Nine walked over and Five and her practiced for a while, when they finished she got the same dinner that she's had the whole time she was there, she stayed up really late coming up with a plan to escape, one everyone else was asleep she snuck into Fives room 

"Five, wake up I know how to escape" Nine whisper-shouted Five woke up and said 

"Wha- how" Five said groggily 

"There is a big window in Dr.Stone's office we can climb out of" Nine replied 

"Don't you think I've tried that, the door is locked every night and you can't even open the window" Five said 

"I know thats why I got the key from Dr.Stone's room and I can melt the glass with my fire." Nine dangled the key in the room 

"You have all this figured out don't you?" 

"Yep" Nine declared, Five hesitated 

"Fine, let's do it" 

"Okay, but get ready to run in case an alarm goes off" Nine said and walked out the door with Five following they walked slowly to Dr.Stone's office. When she unlocked the door the alarm went off and Nine yelled 

"Follow me!" and she jumped through the window breaking the glass and Five followed she grabbed his hand and they ran far and fast Five was basically dragging Nine though because he ran much faster when they ran about a mile the tree's a green blur, they stopped it was very cold and Nine's arm was bleeding a piece of glass must have cut her so she ripped a piece of her shirt from the bottom and tied it where she got cut. 

"Well, we did it but we should move some more so they can't follow my blood to us" Nine told Five who was still laying down trying to catch his breath. 

"Okay, let's go!" Five grinned as Nine helped him up. They started walking through the forest in silence. As they were walking, Five started shivering, they didn't have heavy clothes or any money. After walking for another mile or so they found a closed gas station and it was locked so Nine picked up a rock and threw it at the glass door but there was no alarm so they walked in and Nine went to find bandages and Five went to get food. By now the ripped piece of shirt was soaked with blood and so she got a wipe to wipe away the excess blood and then disinfected it then she put on some bandages. Five got back with food. 

"Are you okay?" He questioned"Yeah, just a little cut" Nine replied but Five looked skeptical 

"I'm fine, I swear." Nine assured him Five looked at all the blood on the floor and tossed her a backpack he found 

"Thanks" Nine put some bandages and wipes then went to look for food to put in her backpack which Five already put in his, she put in some fruit and water bottles and pre-made sandwiches. After they got everything they needed they left and started walking again on the road that was in front of the gas station in hope of finding people.
