Once they settled into the house Nine got wood for a fire after she started a fire she laid down on her bed and instantly fell asleep. When she woke up the sun was starting to set.
"Hey" Five said to Nine as she walked into the main room he was sitting at a table eating something but it wasn't from her backpack.
"Hey, what is that?" Nine asked Five
"Oh, this is something I found in the cupboard." Five said Nine took the bag of chips from his hands
"Hey" Five complained and tried to grab it back Nine looked at the bag and laughed
"What, why are you laughing." Five asked confused,
"This has been expired for like two years." Nine laughed and handed the bag back to Five
"What let me see, how do you know the year?" Five asked
"Oh, when I went to Dr.Stone's office she had a clock on her desk that said the year 3025 also how much other food have you eaten?" Nine asked,
"This is the only thing I ate." Five said but Nine looked skeptical.
"Ok, I ate one other bag." Nine couldn't help but laugh again. Five looked embarrassed.
"Sorry, but I feel like if you found food in a random house and everyone was dead you would have looked." Nine said
"Well, sorry I'm not as smart as you." Five said dramatically
"Yeah, I'm so much smarter than you. Anyways I'm going to get more wood for the fire." Nine said and walked outside she walked into the forest then she saw an alien it looked at her and started walking towards her Nine ran towards the house when she got there she yelled at Five to come outside. He came out with a knife and he stood next to Nine who was shooting fireballs at it but this alien was the biggest one she'd seen. The alien started to talk. It said
"Foolish mortal, you dare to come into my woods." Nine stumbled back a step
"What's wrong?" Five was confused,
"T-the alien was talking." The alien threw a stick at Nine's face. It hit the side of her cheek and made a large cut. "Nine, are you okay?" Five asked, "Yeah, I'm fine we have to figure out how to kill this thing." Nine said and barely acknowledged her cut which was surprising because Five probably would have stopped fighting and fallen to the ground.
"You will never kill me. I will defeat you. I rule these woods, you are just small mortals" The alien bellowed with laughter.
"Small humans with powers." Nine said.
"Wait, are you talking to that thing?" Five questioned. The alien laughed again and kicked Nine away. Five charged at the alien with his knife and stabbed at its leg
"Five stop, that thing will kill you!" Nine yelled at Five when the alien swatted at Five and he hit a tree and fell to the ground unconscious
"Five!" Nine yelled as she stood up, and she set a fallen tree on fire and threw it at the alien. The alien roared, it stumbled but it wasn't hurt so she set another tree on fire and threw it at the alien. The same thing happened, Nine realized this strategy was getting nowhere. She set ten trees on fire and used all of her strength to hit the alien with them. This took all of her power, she tried to walk to Five but stumbled then fell to the ground. It took a few minutes to get enough strength to stand up. When she saw Five she ran over to him she grabbed under his arms and dragged him through the snow when she realized blood on his shirt she looked back at the alien and saw claws one of them must have hit the inside of his stomach.
