Love in Darkness

chapter 6

           The great divide and on the run

Morgana’s pov: 

I'm hiding behind the pillar when Merlin walks in and he is fuming. Oh this is not going to end well on eithers part. He walks up to his mother and yanks her around to look him in the eye. Hunith is shocked and angry herself. 

 “ Mother,” Merlin says, anger evident in his voice. “ You are out of line. I love her and you will not stop us from being together. And how dare you tell Morgana to leave me, what she decides is up to her, you upset her and made her cry. How ! Dare! you! “

I smile because he's so sweet. This is why I love him. He's not afraid to say what he thinks. Or afraid to stand up for those he loves whether it to someone he loves. 

“ How dare you, my son! Get with someone like her, she's trouble! And don't you dare yell at your mother! I raised you better then that!” 

“ i'm only yelling because of what you've done! And how is Morgana trouble? She's the kindest and sweetest woman I know and she's acting better then you right now, mother!” 

 I can't believe what all has said about me. He's so sweet. I'll have to tell him later how much i care for him. 

 “ She will be the death of you my boy. I'm just looking out for you. She'll lead you down a dark path. Please walk away from her and come home.” She pleads to merlin.

“ No mother, I will not leave with you to go home. And i will not leave her. I love her very much and she will not be the death of me, and if she was what a way to go hell id die happy.” he says with a huge grin on his face. 

 Just before hunith could say anything else about me the king walked in angry.

“ How dare you Merlin yell at your mother so. You show her respect, she gave birth to you, loved you, cared for you and you yell at her. I'm ashamed of you boy. You apologize to her and tell her how sorry you are. You hear me. I know about you and my ward so Morgana why don't you come out of hiding. And before you ask, I Heard it from Guias a week ago, and sent for Hunith to come canvence merlin or you morgana to leave the other.” he says as i walk out from where i was hiding. 

“ why?’ I asked angrily “ why can't you let us be i love him dearly and you think i'm just gonna walk away just like that, really!” he cuts me off mid-flow. 

“ You will listen to me young lady!!” now he's mad.” that boy is but a servant he's not right for you he doesnt deserve you. You will marry a prince and go with said prince when the time comes to form an alliance with a kingdom. You hear me, Morgana. It is your duty. And you merlin think you can come and court my ward without my permission like you will steal her away. Not going to happen. You are lucky your head isn't on a chopping block and I'm sending you home.” 

 Now he just gave me an idea… run. Take Merlin’s hand and run. So that's what I do. I grab Merlins hand and run. I don't think i just do. 

“ morgana we might have an issue!” Merlin says as we head through the halls. 

I turn around and see the guards and I turn it to an alcove. pull Merlin to me and kiss him deeply and soon it starts to get heated. I love showing him how much I need and love him. He pulls away with this look of wander on his face. 

I love that look on him. The guards have past so we take off again and are soon out the gates. We don't stop till we are in the forest of Camelot. We need a plan on how to live… did not think of that issue. Probably should have. 

We will talk about it later. Now we need to make camp and rest.
