Chapter 3

                        The Witchfinder part the First

     Morgana pov:

Merlin came rushing in saying how  he messed up big time.

" Merlin what did you do? How did you mess up?" I asked, nervous.

" I was having a bit of fun making the smoke into a horse while gathering wood and a lady saw me. Before I could stop her she ran to tell the king. Thankfully she didn't know it was me that did it."

Just then before I could respond a guard came in saying that the king demands our presence and then walks out. I grab Merlin's hand and kiss it and  reassure him it will all be alright. I don't want him to worry, hopefully he won't be implicated in the incident. We walk out still holding hands, time to get this over with.

We walk up to the giant doors and drop hands so no one knows of our love and walk in. Everyone is gathered in the middle of the room where the woman is to hear what happened. I take my seat as Uther greets me.  The woman is terrified as she speaks about what happens.

Uther nods and says that drastic measures that we need the witch finder even though arthur offers to find the one responsable. I sit in fear as I remember him and still afraid of him to this day and for good reason. Now I fear for me and Merlin,  the Witchfinder will find us if we are not careful. He has some horrible means of finding us magic users out.

I'm standing by the window when I see him pull up in his wagon with the cage. Gwen walks up to me and asks what the cage is for and I tell her I'd rather not think about it.

   Uther's pov:

I was talking with my son when I heard, " do you smell that?"

Smell what I had asked, confused and startled, he walked right  out of the shadows and says something to the tone of that magic has infected my city and how it corrupts everyone.

" what ever your price," i say, " i'll pay. when do you begin?"

" i've already begun, " he says with confidence in his voice.
