3rd Person POV
two days later, amelia sat between wheezie and Sarah as they watched a video of their father talking. Amelia held wheezies hand and stared at the computer. She wouldn't look at rafe, not for one minute. She couldn't. He was still busted and bruised from the beating she gave him.
"a great man once said that if you're born poor, that's not your fault, but if you die poor, well, that's on you. In the end, it was my fear of going back, losing everything I have, that made me lose sight of everything I am, everything I wanted to be. I killed big john Routledge, I murdered sheriff Peterkin, and I shot Gavin Barnstead. I know there's nothing I can do to ease the pain I've caused, many will say I took the easy way out, but I leave this world with the terrible pain of knowing that I leave behind my family, shattered by grief, broken by my sins. I don't expect you to forgive me for leaving you this way. I just pray you to understand that I cant go on ruining your life anymore. This had to end. I leave my estate to be divided equally to all of you, and I leave a love deeper than I could ever express. Take care of each other," and the video ended. Amelia and wheezie got up together, and she held wheezie.
"wheezie, come on, let it go," Amelia whispered, and wheezie cried into her sister's shoulder. Amelia held her tightly and let her cry. They felt eyes on them, specifically rafes, but she didn't care. this was wheezie, and she needed her
" I know kid I know" amelia said softly as she felt tears prick the edges of her eyes. wheezie slowed down her breathing and looking up at amelia
"are you okay?" wheezie asked and amelia thought for a second
" I cant really tell wheezie, he was a bad person and maybe this happened for a reason but he was our dad and now he's gone" Amelia stated and wheezie nodded as she leant up and wiped amelias tears
"I love you" wheezie said and amelia kissed her forehead
" I love you more kid" Amelia exclaimed and she let wheezie go before she walked out of the house, rafe following close behind
"rafe I can hear you stay the hell away from me" Amelia spoke and rafe grabbed her
"amelia, please Sarah already left, please" Rafe begged and Amelia sighed
"you hate me rafe, I have never done anything right by you from the beginning, you tried to kill Sarah, you tried to hurt me, you killed Peterkin. you cant change the past, you're a bad person you always will be and for that, I will never forgive you ever again" Amelia said and she got on her bike and rode away from her brother. she rode to the shop and walked inside after unlocking It
"hey" Kiara spoke and amelia sighed as she turned to her with tears in her eyes
"hi," amelia said and Kiara walked over as she grabbed amelia, and pulled her close. Amelia sobbed into her chest and Kiara held her tightly
"I'm really sorry about this lia" Kiara said and Amelia sighed again
"you couldn't do anything, we were shocked all of us but you're here now" Amelia exclaimed and Kiara nodded as she hugged her. they stayed there the whole day, amelia cried and Kiara held her closely
the next day, amelia woke up and she looked around, Kiara was still holding her and the sun was slightly shining through. she heard the music that Kiara had turned on the night before and she left kiara move around
"lia?" kiara whispered and she turned to amelia who was staring at the ceiling
"you going to school?" Kiara asked and amelia sighed
" i need a day or two but ill see you at the bonfire tonight" Amelia said and kiara leaned down kissing her lips softly before she got up and then she went down from the loft as she got dressed and left amelia there
after school, amelia heard the honk of a horn and looked out of the loft window to see Kiara leaning against the car and amelia smiled
"lets go to the bonfire" Kiara said and Amelia smiled as she got out of the shop and locked it up. she got in the car with kiara and they drove to the fire
"LIA" JJ and Pope yelled together as they looked at her and she smiled
"JJ, POPE" She called and they ran over to her as they hugged her and she hugged them back. kiara smiled at the sight of them , she noticed the way amelia smiled. Kiara walked over and handed amelia the beer
she let go of them and grabbed the beer as she downed it and JJ cheered for her. Kiara looked around and leaned in as she kissed her softly. they didn't notice the way kelce looked at them until he walked over
"Amelia Cameron, does rafe approve of this?" Kelce interrupted and they pulled away from each other
" I don't really give a fuck kelce, why do you?" she asked and he shrugged as kiara held amelias waist and held her close
" its wrong amelia, rafe said it and you know it" He said and she scoffed as she pulled away from kiara. she didn't notice the topper, john b, sarah and the other girl problem
"that's it" amelia said and she swung on kelce as she punched him in his face and jj ran over quickly to them. she turned and looked at sarah finally and she ran over. the girl pushed sarah to the ground and amelia punched the girl
"watch it bitch" Amelia said and the girl came back as kiara pushed her away
"move bitch whats your problem?" kiara said and the girl yelled
"hey! what the hell?" she yelled
"you two alright?" Kiara asked them
"who's side are you on?" she yelled at them again
"she's my girlfriend bitch" Kiara said and with that, she helped them up as they ran to the car together. only Sarah went with topper and amelia went with Kiara
"that was great just great" amelia spoke as Kiara turned on the car
" I just can't have a normal life, most everyone is homophobic and shitty. they just it sucks kie because they don't get it. they won't ever understand" Amelia sighed and Kiara nodded
"I wish we could be girlfriends without the hate and the drama" Kiara spoke and she turned down the road as she drove away from the bonfire. they drove back to the surf shop and went inside
amelia changed out of her jeans and jacket. she wiped off the dirt and makeup. Kiara admired her girlfriend and she changed out of her clothes too. Amelia went up to the loft as Kiara locked up the shop and she went up after her. Amelia laid down as she stared at the ceiling and Kiara put her head on her chest
"well be okay right?" Kiara asked and Amelia nodded slightly
"yeah kie me and you are okay" Amelia said and they fell asleep together.
they could only wait until morning now and maybe in the morning things would be different or maybe they wouldn't .
