3rd person pov
Amelia got off the boat with sarah when they got home. amelia knew that she needed to go home and she knew that she needed to do it soon. she didn't know what would be waiting for her but if she needed to go , she needed to
"hey are you going to be okay?" kiara called to her girlfriend and amelia turned to her with a smile
"yeah, I'm just going to get some clothes, change. shower, do somethings. ill call you, be safe kie" she told her girlfriend and kiara nodded. amelia grabbed sarahs hand as they began to walk back home.
amelia got on her bike as sarah got on hers and they rode their way back home. they quietly and quickly walked in closing the door behind them
"ill get my stuff, take a shower. we meet back here in 30 minutes" amelia told her sister who nodded. amelia went to her room and she grabbed a duffle bag as well as clothes. she then ran to her bathroom and quickly turned on the water. she let it warm up before she stepped in and sighed.
"oh god warm water, finally" she said to herself as she felt it rush down her body and she leaned her head against the wall as she used her body wash and cleaned all the dirt and grime off of herself.
"amelia are you almost done?" sarah called from the hallway and amelia nodded. she got out and got dressed. they were okay until they heard the front door open and they looked down to see rafe walking in
"shit" amelia said
"what do we do?" sarah asked
"hide" amelia told her sister as she grabbed her hand and they hid together as they walked downstairs and went to keep going but they froze
"this cross is mine. this is something that I got through my work and now you're trying to make yourself feel better by giving away my shit?" rafe said and amelia made eye contact with sarah
"the cross" she said and sarah nodded
"the girls! there it is , that's it. yep, knew it. there it is dad, anymore of my shit you want to steal from me to impress the girls? who doesn't give a shit about you" rafe said and they heard rafe get a pen and write something down
"for the record this is bullshit, okay. this is my thing but of course you can count on me. one second, Wilmington. tomorrow night, car 750x" he said and the stairs creaked under the girls. amelia ran down the stairs as sarah hid. they met back up outside and amelia looked at sarah
"we need to tell them" she stated and they nodded. amelia texted kiara and they went down to the dock. they saw kiara walking down and she smiled at the girls who smiled back
"so we went back to the house to grab clothes and a phone and you're not going to believe this. rafe is back. yeah, we saw him at the house. we don't think he saw us but the cross is coming back to Wilmington. tomorrow night" sarah told the girl
"what?" kiara and via said together
"yeah"
"does pope know?"
"no, I was going to tell him at the chateau"
"well he cant, he's on lockdown" kiara said
"okay, then ill hit up Pope and then maybe you go to the chateau and tell john b and amelia can tell jj " sarah said
"yeah alright" amelia said and they went to the chateau. amelia went to jj as kiara began to look around for john b
"j" she called out and jj turned to the cameron girl.
"went home?" he asked and she sighed
"yeah and um bad news, rafe is back" she stated and he scoffed
"yeah so sarah went home too and she saw him" she exclaimed and he sighed
"spectacular" he said and she nodded
"its not just that" she told him and she scoffed
" she also overheard him saying that the cross is coming over to Wilmington tomorrow night" via told him
"he must be trying to sell it" jj stated
"yeah that's what I'm thinking" she said
"does pope know?" jj asked
"yeah sarah just went to tell him, kiara had to go home. i think mike and anna have her on lock down" amelia stated
"Whatever he decides, we follow. its his cross and family line, john b and big john went and got the twinkie,they're off to anywhere , pope is on lockdown" amelia exclaimed
"wait , we know where the cross is gonna be. that means its still on the field, okay alright. so we can come in and swoop. alright we're still in this , we just gotta get everybody together and then we'll come up with a plan, get our asses to Wilmington as fast as possible " jj said and she nodded
"is that your idea? jj , is that even what pope wants? we have to stop thinking of this as a pogue thing because I know we want it to be but this is popes family. his life, his inheritance. we need to stick by him and make sure that whatever he decides we follow through, we cant be greedy about this" she told him and he sighed
"you're a kook amelia, you wouldn't get it" he said and she nodded
"I know that jj, you've told me that multiple times but I don't have a home, or a family or any money right now so if I'm a kook I'm the poorest kook there ever is next to my sister" she said and she looked at the ground
"I didn't mean it like that" he said
"I know you didn't jj but you see where I'm coming from with this cross thing right?" she asked and he nodded
"yeah I do" he told her and they both sighed.
they just didn't know what the future would hold
