"Yes, it was love at first sight. I feel that after all these years, I have finally found my soulmate."

Caelum shut their eyes more than what they already were, the sunlight warming the room. They curled into the silk sheets, wrapping the fluffy blanket further around their body.

...Wait a minute. Caelum doesn't own silk sheets.

Their eyes snapped open quickly, taking in their surroundings. They were laying in a bed, with the blankets wrapped completely around them and almost all the pillows fallen to the floor. To their right sits a black wooden nightstand with a lamp, and their phone laid gently on it, plugged into a charger. Across the bed was a dresser, and sat on top was a pile of clothes. The door to the left of the dresser was open, and Caelum could see it was a bathroom.

Intrigued, Caelum got up from the soft blankets and comfort of the bed and headed to look at the clothing. On the top of the pile was a note in elegant writing. 'I figured you would like a change of clothes. I will be gone until 4, but there is food in the kitchen. -Elijah'

The clothes he had gotten for Caelum were a simple maroon tee, black jeans, socks, a bra and underwear, as well as a gray zip-up jacket.

Grabbing the clothes, they entered the bathroom and turned on the shower. Already there was a towel and washcloth sitting on the counter.

Caelum pulled off the bloody and dirty dress and dropped it to the floor with their undergarments and stepped into the shower, hot water dripping down their body. They sighed contently as they washed their hair and body, getting the dried blood out.

They dried off their body and turned off the shower quickly, getting dressed into clean and warm clothes.

Caelum braided back their hair into twin braids as they sat down on the bed. When they finished they checked their phone to see it was blown up with messages and missed calls from four people; their Aunt Jenna, their younger brother Jeremy, Tyler, and their best friend Katherina.

There however was no messages whatsoever from Elena, Bonnie, Caroline, or the Salvatore brothers. It spoke out clear as day to them. They didn't care at all.

Caroline was the only exception, as she probably didn't know. Because if she did, she would be raining hellfire to find Caelum.

The only person Caelum was confused about was Katerina. Aunt Jenna and Jeremy would notice right away, and Jeremy would immediately tell Tyler. But how did Katerina know? She was in the tomb, which Caelum is still pissed about.

Checking the messages from the four people, they noticed that Katerina's messages were asking her where she was, since she had missed her weekly visit. Jeremy, Jenna, and Tyler were freaking out in their messages and voicemails, and in later messages from Katerina, she was freaking out too.

As Caelum contemplated whether to answer or not, and if so, what to say, the door opened slightly to reveal Elijah. He sat down next to Caelum softly, and they looked over at him and gave him a smile.

"Hi." Caelum said softly.

"Hello. If you're wondering where you are, you're at my home. You fell asleep in my car yesterday and I don't know where you live." Elijah replied.
