"Live life to the fullest or it may seem like you died young."
The group walked through the mountains, trees surrounding them. Klaus was walking and carrying a bag, Stefan was carrying Ray, Caelum was on Elijah's back half-asleep, and Rudy was running around while still following his owners.
"You okay? Is Ray getting heavy?" Niklaus asked, mockingly.
"I'm fine."
"You sure about that? You know, we've been walking for quite some time now. If you need some water, or a little sit-down-" Caelum spoke up, joining Klaus in mocking Stefan.
"You know, I get that we're uh..we're stuck together, but if we could maybe just skip the chit chat, it'd be great."
"So much brooding. Your self-loathing is suffocating you, my friend." Klaus added.
"Maybe it's 'cause I'm a little tired of hunting werewolves. We've been at it all summer."
"Thanks to our pal Ray, we've found ourselves a pack. There."
The group walked into a campsite, people setting up tents and a fire going. They all stopped, and turned to face us.
Stefan walked forward, dropping Ray on the ground harshly.
"Ray! Oh my god! What's going on? Who are you?" A lady asks, running over and checking on her pack member.
"The important question is who am I." Klaus says, joining Stefan. "Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus."
"You're..you're the hybrid!" The lady stutters out.
"You've heard of me. Fantastic."
"Great. Something to add to his already huge ego." Caelum mutters out and Elijah tries to hide a smile.
The other two ignore their comment, sitting down on a flat rock. Elijah follows suit, and Caelum slips off his back, laying in his lap. Rudy joins them, laying next to his owners.
"It's fascinating actually..a werewolf who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun. A true hybrid."
Ray wakes up, gasping for breath.
"Excellent timing, Ray. Very dramatic." Klaus states.
"What's happening to me?!" Ray asks, breathing loudly.
"Stefan?"
Stefan stands up, looking around. "Are any of you human? Your friend here needs human blood to complete his transition to vampire. If he doesn't get it, he will die."
"Doesn't take much, just a sip. Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend, along for the ride?"
The lady who ran to Ray's side speaks up. "Why not just use her?" She asks, pointing to Caelum.
Elijah growls, wrapping his arms around Caelum's waist. "Try to hurt them, and you die."
"They're off limits." Klaus states. "You!"
