"We all live in a house on fire, no fire department to call; no way out, just the upstairs window to look out of while the fire burns the house down with us trapped, locked in it."
Waking up to the sound of a phone ringing was not the way Caelum wanted to exactly wake up. But once they realized who was calling, they answered immediately.
"Finally you pick up! I was worried that you were hurt!" Katerina exclaims. "Malka zvezda, where were you?"
"It's a long story. Do you want me to come visit you and bring blood and clothes? I already have everything packed." Caelum asked, already knowing the answer.
"I would love for you to come visit. Be careful, and make sure nobody sees you."

The tomb underneath the ruins were dark, almost no light whatsoever. Well no light until Caelum flicked their hand, and the torches.
A bag was slung over Caelum's shoulder; filled with clothes, blood, deodorant, blankets, and whatever else Katerina would need.
Pulling the stone door open with help from their magic, Caelum successfully moved the stone slab and light poured into the tomb.
"Katerina! I'm here with your stuff!" Caelum called out, and immediately Katerina walked over to them, getting as close as she could to them with the binding magic.
"Malka zvezda, you better have a good reason to be gone. You made me worry!" Katerina exclaims, and Caelum winces.
"Like I said, it's a long story. But here."
Caelum hands Katerina the bag, and steps inside the tomb. Katerina sends a smile to them, and pulls out clean clothes, dry shampoo, mints, and deodorant.
She retreats further into the tomb, and Caelum follows, bringing out a lantern and lighting it.
The tomb itself was deep, like a labyrinth, filled with passages and rooms. The walls had little pockets behind stones, and if you knew which ones were the ones to pull out, it could give you a wonderful hiding place.
Katerina slipped out of her old garments, and grabbed new ones, putting them on and freshening up as Caelum tidied the dirty room Katerina had chosen to stay in.
Katerina quickly walked over and hugged Caelum tightly. "Can you please explain now, malka zvezda?"
"I will, but please I know you're starving. Drink some blood." Katerina nodded and pulled a blood bag out and sat down on the blankets. She finished the first one and gestured for Caelum to continue.
"So you probably didn't know, but I was at the Masquerade Ball. I knew of the plan, yes, as I warned you.
"When Elena and I were exiting the ball, we were attacked by a man. We got kidnapped, and brought to two vampires who were planning on giving us to someone who would give us to Klaus." Panic ran through Katerina's face. "I know that look, but I'm here, so I'm fine.
"I woke up and talked to the kidnappers briefly, and Elena learned of a few things, which were quite obvious may I add.
Eventually the person they contacted was there to get us. Or more accurately, get Elena and have me as a meal. But all of a sudden my birthmark started burning and I cried out in pain, and as a means to shut me up, one of the vampires bit and fed on me.
