One week later
"Rosie will need to appear in court for two accounts." Christopher speaks. "Firstly, she needs to testify what happened on the night of her attack. Secondly, she needs to testify against her father."
I rub my hand over my eyes. This past week has been draining. More and more news started coming out about the attack on Rosie, or Rosaleigh Whitehall. Rosie's name and identify was still kept out of the news. That was until we leaked it. Better to be one step ahead of the game.
As soon as Rosie White's name was out there, the news did its job. People turned against David Whitehall and chaos was sparked within UK politics and the people of the United Kingdom, and the rest of the world for that matter. The news hit globally.
The power of social media put Rosie's name to a face and people soon realised who the 'mystery woman' that was seen with me was. The one and only.
After that, we leaked another story to the press. Letting them know exactly what happened, how the pictures between me and Rosie stirred turmoil between Rosie's parents and lead to the attack. How and why Rosie was sent away and that the story David presented the press about European boarding school was all a ploy.
People came behind Rosie and turned against her father. Exactly what we wanted to happen.
It doesn't make the fact Rosie still has to appear in court any easier though.
"You'll support her? My father will most likely disapprove. I don't want to put you in the middle of mine and my fathers' personal battles," I state, replying to Chris.
He shakes his head, "Always Carlson. I will get this settled for Rosie and get all the justice she deserves."
I nod, "Thank you Christopher."
"You'll inform Rosie on my behalf?" He asks and I nod my head again. "I'll be in touch with more details as soon as I have them."
"Thank you."
I see Christopher out and make my way back to the bedroom. Christopher came around early and I left Rosie in bed again. Her sleep has been non existent since the first news article hit.
I strip from the jeans a tee I threw on and pull back the covers, moulding my front to her back, pulling her to me.
"Alex?" She mumbles.
"I should hope so," I whisper.
"Hmm, me too," She giggles, and it warms me.
I'll let her good mood continue for a while longer before I tell her about the court appearance.
***
By afternoon, I've bought Rosie up to speed on the case and reassured her as best I could.
She was surprisingly calmer than I expected her to be. She told me how she could see an end to it all now and I couldn't agree more. I'm glad she's ready and showing the confidence to stand up for her life and put it behind her.
She Facetimed Milly and bought her up to speed as I caught up on some work. Now I'm stood in the doorway of the kitchen/lounge, watching her paint.
The best sight.
She's immersed when she paints, the world around her drowned out. Her current piece is still early on, I can't even tell what she's painting yet but whatever it is, is magical.
Over the last week she's kept herself busy drawing, I've come to notice she also likes to sketch. Simple pencil to paper and told me it's her way of envisioning something bigger for a canvas. When she's not drawing or painting, she's talking to Milly, watching TV or lying sated in bed, or a number of other locations for that matter.
If there's any positive of being stuck in the penthouse, it's the unlimited number of orgasms both of us have had.
Heaven.
