I push the wheelchair up towards the pickup point and see the black Audi parked and waiting. The driver obviously catches sight of me in the mirror as he hops out of the driver's side.

"Carlson," he nods, and I greet him back. He takes the bag from Rosie's lap and opens the boot placing it inside before jogging back to the driver's side.

Rosie stands and I grab hold of her arm, steadying her. "Will you stop," she grumbles, pulling herself out of my hold.

I push the wheelchair into a selection of wheelchairs stacked to the side of the pickup point and turn as Rosie's opening the car door.

I watch for a second as she uses both her hands to open it, before stepping back towards her. "You can barely open a car door peaches, don't tell me you don't need help."

I hear her mumble something under her breath as she settles slowly into the car. I reach forward and grab hold of the belt just as she does, her gaze meets mine and there's fire and anger brewing.

"I may be tired and weak, but I can at least buckle my own god damn seat belt."

I hold both my hands up in surrender as I ease back, allowing her to take control.

Jeez, I have never met someone so stubborn.

I hop around to the other side of the car and buckle myself in before nodding to the driver and listen to Rosie provide him with her home address.

I see her glaring at me out of the corner of my eye before she sighs loudly and turns facing forward, resting her head back against the head rest.

I look over towards her as we drive through the city, her eyes are closed.

The doctor was concerned for her eating habits, her weight and mental health. I know for sure she was telling the truth when she told them how much she didn't mean for this to happen.

When the nurse bought Rosie a sandwich and told her she'd need to observe Rosie eating it, Rosie laughed and dived right into the sandwich, before mumbling between mouthfuls how much she loves cheese sandwiches, she ate it like it was some perfectly cooked steak, enjoying every mouthful.

When I told Milly what happened on the phone, she was so upset and told me that this shouldn't have come to this. I was confused at first, but after finding out about her and Rosie's financial situation, I know for sure Rosie didn't intend for this to happen.

The car comes to a stop and the engine cuts, Rosie lifts her head and opens her eyes before glancing around, "That was quick."

I look around the estate, boarded up shops with small flat blocks above them, run down to say the least. "You live here?" I ask.

Rosie lets out a dry laugh as she unbuckles her seatbelt, "Sorry Mr I-wipe-my-arse-with-hundred-pound-notes, but if you didn't fucking notice earlier, I barely have enough money to finance this place, let alone somewhere in a decent area of the city."
