~A couple of hours earlier~

Izuku POV (older deku):

"There you go, Midoriya."

I blinked in surprise. It had been such a long time since I had been called by my maiden name. "Sir, my last name isn't Midoriya anymore." I corrected.

Aizawa looked at me, confused. "Apologies. If it isn't Midoriya, what is it?" He asked, showing as much respect as he could.

"Bakugo. But if you find that confusing, you can call me Izuku or Deku. I don't mind." I said, brushing Haru's blond curls away from his eyes, so he could see.

"You took his last name? That's surprising... I thought you'd double-barrel your last names together. You just don't seem like the type of person who'd roll along with traditions." He said.

I didn't really know how to respond to that so I just nodded. "Surprising, eh?"

"Mhm." The permanently sleepy teacher answered. "If you need anything, knock on any of the doors down this hallway or come find us in the staff room. That's where us teachers spend most of our time when we aren't teaching. Your basics should be all set up in here, but if you think there's something missing, please let us know." Aizawa said. I nodded in acknowledgement and he left me and Haru alone.

I looked down at my child and he smiled slightly. He was learning to control his facial expressions and kept smiling at me, Izumi and Kacchan. It was so cute. Speaking of Kacchan, I needed to speak to him through walkie talkie, to tell him how things were going. Well, maybe when Haru was asleep or quietened down, also I needed to find stuff that I was definitely going to need.

((what the room looked like))

I looked around the pale blue room

I looked around the pale blue room. I have never liked blue as a room colour. It makes me feel really cold, like I'm stuck with frostbite. But, my god, it was massive! Big enough for both a double bed and a crib. It was more than what I was expecting. It wasn't... home, but good enough for a month or so.

I laid Haru down in the crib, covering him with an All Might blanket. For some reason, it only came with a sheet and a pillow, so I had to use a blanket I had bought with me. I always have all kinds of baby stuff in my bag, for emergencies and I had bought my bag with me when I left. So, I was temporarily equipped with nappies, blankets and all sorts of things. Only enough to last one day though. And no, they did not make All Might merch nowadays. Most children had only heard of All Might from their parents and weren't really bothered. I hate to sound arrogant but most of the merch was mine. About 30% of merch created is mine, 20% Kacchan's merch and 50% of other heroes. I'm the current No 1 hero and Kacchan is No 2. However, the hero ranking list 2030 came out next month and Kacchan and I were hoping that we were joint first. However, I was a little bit worried about Todoroki-kun. His father, although retired, still wanted him to be Number 1. This year, his father had been pushing him harder than ever. But, Todoroki-kun had told me in private that he didn't want to be number 1. He completely supported me and thought I deserved Number 1, given all I had been through. I had thanked him for the compliment and explained to him I had to go home now. I had a family after all.
