Earlier that day...
Izuku Pov:
"You ready to go?" Kacchan asked me. I nodded. We were waiting for Izumi to put her shoes on. Kacchan looked at me, his red eyes wide and full of longing. I don't think he wanted me to go. But I had to... did I? I had made up my mind and it was too late to change that. It was thanks to him that I had chosen to do this.
"Kacchan, are you okay?" I asked. He looked up at me, and nodded. Lying, clearly. I walked over to him hesitantly and wrapped my arms around him. He was surprised for a while then relaxed into my touch.
"Do you really have to go..?" He whispered into my ear.
"I'm sorry Kacchan..." I said, hugging him a little tighter. He blinked a few times and wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. He turned me to face him and pressed our lips together. I willingly complied with this, kissing him back. We broke away after a few precious moments. "I have to do this."
"Do what you must, Deku, but don't f*cking die on me." Kacchan responded.
Izumi stood up, her laced shoes awkwardly done up. "I'm ready." she said.
**timeskip**
We all stood in Hatsume's lab, feeling pretty nervous. I was staring at the time travel machine, seeing my 3rd year formroom. It was empty and eerily creepy, if you don't mind me saying. I looked over at Kacchan, and he looked back at me with raised eyebrows.
I wasn't really listening to the terms and conditions of the time machine. I just about managed to hear that if I stay there for more than a month, I'll be stuck there. After a day, I was given the option to leave if things weren't going well. Then I got that option at weekly intervals. I was also required to record a message at the end of each day, telling how that day had gone. For emergencies, I would keep a small handheld walkie talkie on me at all times, connecting to my current timeline. It didn't sound as complicated as I thought it would be.
"Any questions?"
I shook my head. "Can I just say goodbye to everyone first?" I asked. She nodded.
'Who should I say goodbye to first?' I wondered. I found my eyes wandering over to Kacchan, but then I decided that I would save the best until last. ((he is the best, you can't tell me otherwise))
Then, I scanned who he was holding. Haru. Yeah, alright. He's probably not gonna remember this, because he's literally 5 months old.
"Kacchan, can I hold Haru for a minute? Y'know, say bye to him?" I asked.
"What about me?" Kacchan said to me, currently refusing to give me my motherf*cking child. I looked up at him.
"You'll get yours in a minute Kacchan." I answered, determined not to ignore him too much. I managed to be holding Haru. He looked up at me with wide eyes, not really knowing what was happening. I sighed, and shifted him so I was only holding him with one hand. I then let him cling onto my thumb with his entire hand. He was so small, smaller than what Izumi was at that age and most other babies. He looked so confused. I never usually held him like this.
"Bye, little baby. Gonna miss you. Be a good boy for Kacchan, alright? Don't cry too much and uh... yeah. Be good. He'll beat you up if you aren't a good boy so you don't have a lot of choice there."
Kacchan glared at me. "I wouldn't do that, Deku. He's only a brat." he said, looking a little grumpy, if I do say so myself. I sighed fondly, shaking my head in the process.
"Dadda, I want my cuddles." Izumi said, looking up at me. I smiled at her.
"Alright then. Come here." I said, holding my arms out. She ran and hugged me tightly.
