It happened again..the same dream..the war that almost brought destruction to the celestial balance between Earth and Windborough.. As a child, I always told myself that these dreams aren't real..when it really wasn't the case at all. It was one hundred percent real! I was dreaming about how Windborough was in the past. I shot up panting and sweating all over. It felt like I was about to have an anxiety attack.

I've tried telling my family about the dreams I keep having countless times but only my parents believed me. My grandfather however disagrees. The only thing he said to me was, "The past is the past. Nothing more. It is not something to concern yourself with. This world has been nothing but peaceful since the war ended."

I have always believed that ever since I started having these recurring dreams when I was 10. It was also around this time that I first met a mysterious man who gave me a fresh perspective of Windborough with these words, "The world can be just as vast as the night sky above. Someday, you'll get a chance to explore that world."

Fast forward to the present, I'm 18 now, officially a grown woman. And I was about to get that chance but not in the way I imagined. It started when I was coming back from a trading merchant with food and herbal medicine when I suddenly heard the people of my village screaming and running in a panic. Something must be wrong. I went to town to ask someone what's happening when a villager ran up to me. "S Sora", he said "Thank the Aquarius Avatar you're back! Listen, you need to warn your family! Th they are in danger!"

"What happened," I asked. "What's going on?"

"This man entered your grandfather's domain without warning and is causing fright to our village. He was looking for someone who has been Astral-Touched by the Aquarius Avatar!

"If he keeps going on like this, he can destroy this entire village. Please, Sora! You have to stop him! You're the only one who can do this."

"I I I'm not exactly the type of person who likes fighting..but I will do my best!"

"Thank you! It means a lot."

I grabbed the bags of food and medicine and ran as fast as I could back home! But when I got there, it was too late..the man beat me to it. He was an Aerobian like me and my people but something is different about him. All I can see was his dark lime green hair that seemed to be pulled back in a messy ponytail. He was interrogating my family and it sounded like he was desperate to find this person. Something clicked inside me just then..I couldn't sit by and watch them get interrogated like this. "Hey!!" I shouted. "Leave my family alone!!" Big mistake..

"So you've finally arrived. The name's Draco and I've been searching for someone like you for a long while." He said. He looked at me now and I finally got a good look at his face. He had a triangular face shape with somewhat of a strong jawline, his skin looked pale but not enough to be white as a ghost. His eyes and his evil smirk is what got me shaking in my boots. His eyes were a fiery red and snake like and he had jagged teeth like the sharks from Earth.

His smile only grew bigger when he sensed my fear. "And now that you're here at last", he continued. "I can fulfill my duty. Don't take this personally, kid. This is just my job."

Draco suddenly charged at me and was trying to attack me! He was super quick but I managed to dodge every attack he threw at me out of fright. I wasn't ready to die this early in my life! But I wasn't brave or strong enough to fight either! Luckily, I had a boomerang with me and was able to push him back at least a little.

"Tch! Not bad, kid. You certainly know how to handle a boomerang for someone who is not a fighter." Draco said with a "hmph" under his breath. "But I'm not going to be satisfied until I see that power of yours."

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

He chuckled and it sent shivers down my spine. "Well, why don't you ask your grandfather? He knows something about that.. Not that you'll get that chance anyway."

Now I was close to crying.. 'I'm scared..' I thought. 'I don't know what to do now..I wish someone can help me..'

'Don't be scared, Sora!' I suddenly heard a voice say. It sounded so familiar but I couldn't pinpoint it. "Wh what," I spoke quietly. "Who's there?"

'Listen to me.' It spoke again. 'You need to summon the wind to push Draco away from your village. I know you're frightened right now but fear is a good thing because it's not only one of the many attributes of who you are but also, when you feel that urge, you can face and tackle it head on.

'Sora, I need you to face the fear that's in front of you. Think of him as a pile of leaves just waiting to be blown away by the wind. You can do this.'

"O okay," I murmured. "I'll try." I held my hand out in front of me and began to concentrate. Suddenly I felt the wind caress my body and making its way to my hand. A gust of wind formed into some kind of orb and without even thinking twice about what I was doing, I released it in the form of whirlwind which made Draco literally blown away from the village. Wow...I can't believe I just did that..

Despite the damage Draco and I have done to my village, the villagers were actually happy and grateful for my getting rid of the intruder. Even so..what did he mean by my grandpa knowing something about my power? Looking at my hand, I noticed that a mark suddenly appeared on the back of it, shaped like the ocean's waves, the Aquarius sign. I guess there is actually more about myself than I truly thought.

This is really the first official story I have ever written and I know it's not much but I will post more chapters whenever I can. Sora's story is just beginning. 😊♥️
