Sketch 14 The Dragon's Redemption

Sora's POV

"Arista...you really are crazy.. if you think you can handle this thing on your own.." I told her, out of breath.

"Sh Shut up," she countered panting. "I never wanted.. your help.. regardless.."

We fought hard against that mecha dragon but it was too strong. Draco laughed at us triumphantly. "Hah! Tired already? What a shame. I was having so much fun! Oh well. It's time for my pet and I to finish this little bout."

"I don't think so!" I suddenly heard a familiar voice shout making us turn to see a guy with dark brown hair and fair skin arrive with Kyu-Kyun. He was wearing a grey cardigan over a dark blue shirt, pale blue jeans, black shoes and fingerless gloves that are also black. I blushed because of how handsome he looked but..when I looked at his silver eyes, it clicked. This has to be Vyse! But how?

"Vyse," I spoke. "I Is that you?"

"Yeah," he answered. His voice sounded a pitch or two higher but it still held the same comforting tone from when we met him as a walking, talking wolf. "It's me. I'm sorry, Sora. But I can't let you and Arista fight him on your own."

"But I said-!"

"I know.. but I promised Kyu-Kyun that I would protect her and everyone. That includes you girls."

Arista sat up slowly. "Y you're nuts!"

Vyse then held up what seems to be a pearl colored gemstone in his now right hand. And I can see two lines with circles one the back of it, glowing silver. That's the Cancer Sign! I thought loudly. "That means he.."

"Zodiac Shining Summon!!" He yelled out. "Cancer!!" He then lifted it into the air and let out a howl to the setting moon. Just then I saw the gloves change as the Cancer Gem got absorbed into them. It then appeared again on his right glove as they turned into claw shaped iron fingered ones. It looked so pretty shining in the moonlight.

"Silver Moon Claws!" Vyse introduced as he got into his fighting stance. I got up as well to join him but turned to face Arista with a stern stare.

"Arista, come on," I ushered her. "Whether you like it or not, we have to work together."

"Ugh! Fine," She finally said standing up and to the right of Vyse. "So, Water Girl, what's our plan?"

"Um.."

"Leave Draco to me," Vyse offered. "You girls still need to beat that dragon."

"Yeah but he's too powerful!"

"You said it already, Sora. 'We have to work together.'"

I finally nod in agreement. "You're right." I faced Arista with a smile on my face. "Arista, you ready?"

She hesitates for a moment but finally smirked. "Okay. Let's take that thing out."

Draco smirked. "Oh? Now this is getting interesting. Three against two? All the more fun to take all three of your gems at once." He then stood up. "Crush those girls, my pet. That guy is mine."

The dragon roared and immediately dashed to us for a battle. Luckily, the three of us dodged out of the way in time. Vyse charged toward and slashed at Draco many times while Arista and I tried to find a good opportunity to fire at this mecha meanie.

It tried a headbutt but I stopped it with my boomerang. "Get back, you big lizard!" I shouted shoving it to the ground with my wind magic.

"Not bad, Sora." Arista said in a somewhat complimented way.

I couldn't help but blush but suddenly noticed the dragon's paw heading straight for her. "Arista, watch out!"

Arista notices and jumped out of the way. "You crazy beast!"

She then fired her revolver. "Navy Chariot Shot!!"

"Aqua Whirlwind!" I chimed in, shooting at my boomerang!

Our attacked combined again and it made the mechanical dragon finally explode into pieces.

Draco didn't even notice it was gone until he managed to get some space from Vyse. When he did, he got so angry, his face turned red. "What did you twerps do to my pet!?" he screamed.

"So much for your dragon, huh," Vyse snarked. "Don't worry. You'll be joining it real soon." He then lifted his hands in front of him in a claw shape and, with a loud howl, called out, "Lycan's Vengeance!"

He charged at Draco and slashed at him so fast we didn't even see him move at all. It wasn't long until Drago was defeated and disappeared into an orb of corrupted energy.

Arista and I ran over to him quickly. "Are you okay?" I asked worriedly.

"Whatever that was," Arista mused. "That was pretty awesome."

"What is this?" Vyse wondered.

"That's Draco's corrupted Estella energy. It was normally a water elemental energy but I guess whoever the boss of Noir Galaxy X is can corrupt magic and bend it into their will."

"That's crazy!" I shrieked.

Vyse lifted his hand and touched it. The Draco energy was purified and sent back into the sky reforming the Draco constellation.

"Vyse.." I murmured.

"It's okay." He assured before turning to face us with a smile. "He won't harm my village and you anymore, Sora."

I blushed at his smile. Arista chuckled at this and it was starting to annoy me.

"Hey!" I cried. "Stop laughing! That's not funny!"

"Aww," she teased. "What's the matter, Water Girl? Do you have a crush on him already?"

"No I don't! Stop it!"

"Now now, girls," Vyse intervened gently. "That's enough. Come on. Break it up."

I am finally finished with this chapter. This one is kind of short but I really think it turned out well. I hope you all enjoy this chapter and the whole story so far.
