Vyse's POV
When we arrived, we saw a huge dragon wrecking havoc on my people. It looked as big as the trees and his body was made out of bronze metal. It's eyes were red and it held a love for destruction. It was moving due to some of the silver gears I can see peaking through its body.
I was so angry that I was close to losing control of the beast within me when I heard Lucius yelp in pain. "Lucius!" I yelled before running off to find him.
"Wait for me!" Sora shrieked as she followed behind me. As we hurried through the village, I looked around with shock to see some houses wrecked by this dragon. There were fires spreading as well and I can see some Lycaon pups escaping with their parents to find shelter.
We finally showed up but we were shocked to see him and Arista in bad shape. She was still standing in front of Lucius trying to stay strong while he was lying on the ground, his arm was slashed by its claws and he was out of breath.
I went over to him while still holding a sleeping Kyu-Kyun. "Lucius, what happened!?" I asked worried.
"V Vyse.." he muttered in a painful tone. "That dragon..attacked us.. the person on that thing said that..he was looking for the Cancer Gem.."
"Well well, kid! It's been a hot minute. Remember me!?" I heard a person shout. We all turned to see him, Draco, sitting on the dragons back leaning on one of its wings. He had an evil smirk on his face that sent chills through my spine.
"It's Draco," Sora growled. "Why on Windborough are you here!?"
"Tch. Two things, kid. One: you owe me for that fight the first time we met. Two: I just want the Cancer Gem for my kingdom."
"Noir Galaxy X.." Arista murmured.
"Hmph! Arista was it?" Draco teased. "Aren't you Cassiopeia's puppet? Weren't you supposed to be helping us gather them?"
Sora gasped in shock before facing Arista. "Arista.."
Arista then held up her Star-Charmed Weapon in anger and shouted. "Cut the crap! Like I care about that anymore after being beaten by Sora!"
"I guess you and I have something in common," Draco chuckles darkly. "We both got beaten by this kid."
Sora then brought out what seemed to be a boomerang keychain and yelled. "Zodiac Shining Summon! Aquarius!" She threw it up into the air and it transformed into her own Star-Charmed Weapon. She catched it and got into her battle stance shouting, "Water Bearer Boomerang!"
"Sora-!" I spoke but she stopped me by saying, "Vyse, please take Lucius and Kyu-Kyun and find somewhere safe! Besides, you have your pack to look after right?" She smiled and I couldn't stop my heart from beating. She's willing to put her life on the line to protect those she loves. Just like I do... I wanted to counter offer but there is no point in making her reconsider.
So I took one free arm and carefully helped Lucius on his hind legs before taking him back to my home. I carefully set Kyu-Kyun down on my bed before taking Lucius to his bedroom.
"I.. I'm sorry.." I heard Lucius mutter. "I If only I had listened to you.."
"I don't wanna hear it," I told him. "Right now, you need medical attention. I'll send the pack doctor to help you."
"No.. that won't be necessary. You forget.. We Lycaons heal very quickly.."
"Yes, but only until you reach 50 years old. You're 49 now."
"I appreciate your concern, Vyse. But.. you should try and help those girls out there. I'll find some way to heal myself.
"Listen, the Cancer Gem is locked inside the chest your mother has given to me. You can find it in the basement. Take this key and use the gem to fight." He took the key from his nightstand nearby before giving it to me, a smile growing on his muzzle.
