*Joanne opens the door and enters into her home. Turning on the water from the sink, she splashed water on her face and dried off with some paper towels.*

Joey: Joanne?

Joanne: Hm?

*Joey ran up to her and hugged her tightly. Joanne rubbed his head and passed by him.*

Joanne: Where's mom.

Joey: She's on a business trip in New York. Something about a formal acquisition of the family business.

Joanne: So I guess that means we officially own it. Might even move out of here.

Joey: Maybe. I really like living here in Atlanta though. Its really nice.

Joanne: Yeah, and this is our childhood home. I guess it would be kinda dumb to leave...still, we may have to move to be closer. Its not like we wouldn't be able to afford a nice home in New York.

Joey: It would just be a huge change. I don't know if Im ready for it I guess.

Joanne: Hm..

Joey: Listen, there's something I have to tell you. Its really important.

Joanne: Ok. What's up?

Joey: Have you been getting my messages about the creepy guy mom hangs out with?

Joanne: Uh...yes?

Joey: You're still a horrible liar.

Joanne: I read some of them. Mom has called me and told me about him. He seems fine.

Joey: That's the thing, he seems fine, but he definitely has something he's hiding.

Joanne: You sound paranoid.

Joey: C'mon, JoJo, haven't you ever had the feeling that someone was hiding another side of them?

*Joanne thinks back to Gabriella constantly lecturing her on many different accounts.*

Joanne: Yeah.

Joey: Then you should know where I'm coming from. I think this guy has been sizing up our mom...like any alligator plotting to snag a meal as quick as it can.

Joanne: I don't think Alligators plot on their food.

Joey: They do. They wait and watch. Alligators aren't opportunistic animals that will go in for the kill at a moments notice with reckless abandoned. You know, now that I think about it, he's more like a Crocodile.

Joanne: A crocodile, huh? Hm, why does that sound so familiar?

Joey: His name is Duran Duran. He's a really huge guy with sharp teeth, and no matter what he wears, he has on something that resembles Crocodile skin.

Joanne: He sounds really intimidating. Y'know, I'd be intimidated too if I was face to face with some guy like that when I'm all of 5'2.

Joey: It's not funny, Joanne. I'm being serious here.

Joanne: Ok ok. Look, we'll just wait and see what he's really like under all that and come to a decision.

Cali: You know, if I saw the guy, I'd be able to get him to confess his faults. Looked through your memories, kid, it seems he's also your dentist.

Joanne: Oh yeah! If he's evil then he'll spill his guts and we can just beat em up after that.

Joey: He has a metal plate in his head, would that stop you?

Cali: ...Yeah.

Joey: Dang it.

*A sudden knock on the door grabs their attention. Joey looked up at Joanne who returned his worrying gaze. Compulsively, he clung onto her in hopes that his elder sister would protect him. Joanne is reminded of how weak and frail she used to be as a little girl and how she would always be underneath her mother.*
