*In Nevada, Travis explores his home; looking at each of portraits hanging up on the walls. Afterward, he sat down on the couch and continued to look around from his position. He stared at the table to see many papers of final notices and late payments. Travis' confusion is brought to a head when he notices an invitation from the Golden Palace addressed to his mother. He's skeptical of the invitation which he soon learns is a collection letter of a monetary amount. Before he could confront his mother about it, a limousine arrived in front of his house and sat there parked as if they were monitoring the home. His skepticism became intrigue at this point; making his way to the top of the stairs after peering out of the window to see the limo. He walked toward his old room to see that it has been left exactly how he left it. Absolutely spotless and tidy save for one out of place golden ticket laying on his bed.*
Travis: Another invite to the palace...but wait, this one has my name on it. Wait a second...this is handwritten similar to how mom's is written.
*Travis read his letter and noticed a few distinct changes in it such as the fact that it's an invitation with no time limit and a mention mention of his father.*
Travis: The person who wrote this letter, they know where my father is or at least have some idea of his whereabouts. This signature, it must be the person who invited me. If he invited me, then he's probably the owner of the casino or the last person to have seen my father. Regardless, staying here is a safe bet. At the same time, I won't be able to get the answers.
*Travis opens a box from under his bed and inside is bundles of hundreds and old mixing equipment. He reaches down into the bottom to retrieve a couple of photos depicting his family at a reunion. He notices that a white outline appears in place of his father as if completely blanking him out.*
Travis: What is this?
*He scratched at the photo wondering if it was just paint. Upon closer inspection, he noticed that the outline was too perfect to be simply painted over.*
Travis: Wait, what is this? Has he been whited out?
*Travis went out into the hall of his house to look at the other pictures of his father hanging up to see that they too have been whited out. He's shocked to learn that all of the photos he finds in the house are all like that.*
Travis: It's like he just didn't exist...or someone is taking his visual likeness. What's going on.
*A knock at the door prompted Travis to answer. Once opened, he saw two men standing on his porch wearing suits.*
Man 1: Are you Travis Glover?
Travis: Yes.
Man 1: We're gonna need you to come with us. As part of a deal between our boss and Rascoe Glover, you are now the legal property of the Golden Palace.
Travis: ...
*Travis closes the door and continues looking through the pictures trying to figure out where he could've went. Another knock at door annoys Travis as he is forced to get up and answer it again. This time, however, the men hold him at gunpoint and force him to accompany them to the car where he is stuffed inside.*
Man 2: Why didn't we just do that at first? They never come quietly.
Man 1: The boss said to try and be nice every once in a while.
Man 2: Yeah, well being nice got a door slammed in our face. Y'know, I should probably kick your ass for that.
Man 1: The boss said not to damage his property.
Man 2: Yeah well...
Travis: So, this is what it feels like to belong to someone else?
Man 2: Too bad the guy that bet your life was no good at gambling. He tried the 5 table challenge and lost horribly. He gave us an address and we we're starting to think that it was a false one.
