Travis: Ericka, if there's an enemy stand then there needs to be an enemy stand user somewhere close by.
Ericka: Remember what we learned? There are ranged stands called Remote stands that can operate outside of their user's command similar to your own.
Travis: I know, but you have to wonder why is it just this staircase? The stand user would have to be either here in the stair case or somewhere on campus. The possibility of the latter is zero because the Intel from the drive pinpoints the stand user to be here.
Ericka: Is it possible that he could protecting something?
Travis: Something cult related?
Ericka: Yes. The cult has eyes everywhere, so it's plausible that these stairs lead somewhere else...everytime one of us tries to move upward, it's as if the stairs rearrange themselves.
Travis: ....
Ericka: Travis?
Travis: Whoever it is, they're trying to split us up. I want to try something. Ericka, do you trust me?
Ericka: Of course! With my entire being.
Travis: Ok. Use your stand to silence us.
Ericka: Ok!
*An orange aura forms around her as she summons her stand. Appearing behind her, it turns and punches the wall causing a large field to appear that discolors the surrounding area for a brief moment before disappearing. Ericka claps her hands hearing nothing. Moving back to the edge of the rail and look up toward Travis, she gives him a thumbs up. Travis nods and begins running down the stairs. Ericka sat down and looked at the walls that were covered in mysterious handprints all of various sizes. She kept her flash light close to her chest and took an inaudible deep breath. Travis came up from behind her tapping her on the shoulder causing her to jump up. Obviously filled with anxiety and on edge because of the current situation, she turns around raising her fist to attack him, but is stopped by Travis. Raising the flashlight up to his face, he laughed walking down the stairs. He stops in his tracks and starts conveying a message using sign language.*
Travis: Ericka. Do. You. Understand. Sign. Language.
Ericka: A. Little.
Travis: We. Will. Communicate. This. Way. Until. We. Catch. The. Guy.
Ericka: Ok.
*They descend further down the stairs moving in silence. Their footsteps completely muted as they tap across the steel staircase. Not even their breathing could be heard making it as if they weren't even there in the first place. Suddenly, a clicking sound can be heard echoing throughout the stair case. Ericka clings to Travis' arm.*
Travis: What's. That. Noise?
*Ericka shrugs her shoulders. The clicking sound got closer and closer until an luminous face peaked out from the previous set of stairs. Travis grabs both of the flash lights and quickly turns then off. He forces himself and Ericka down to the ground in an attempted to hide from the mysterious figure who stops right in front of them. It looks around and faces them making Ericka extremely nervous. Travis feels around for something to pick up and finds what feels like a bone. He tosses it forward down the stairs creating a banging sound that grabs the attention of the ghostly figure that quickly chases the sound crashing into the wall creating a black mass. Travis turns on the flashlight to see that the mask has been cracked laying down dormant in the ground.*
Ericka: What. Now?
Travis: We. Have. To. Go. Further. Down.
*Ericka and Travis quickly run down the stairs stepping over the broken mask that suddenly repairs itself. Ericka and Travis reach the end of the stairs and are met with an open area and a wooden door. Ericka runs toward the door trying to open it only to be met with multiple locks. The masked figure from before seeps through the cracks of the old brick walls around them and reforms. The mask illuminates mere inches away from Travis' face. Slowly, the light from the mask spreads in a circular motion revealing a long coil that surrounds him. Ericka turns back to see the serpentine creature zeroing in on her beloved. She summons her stand beside her and screams into it's hand forming a bubble that it then throws up high and out of sight. The bubble pops letting loose a horrific, bloodcurdling scream that snatches the attention of the creature who shoots upward trying to locate the sound. Travis falls to his knees clutching his heart with flashlight in hand. Ericka grabs him from behind and kisses him on the cheek.*
