Chapter Three -

"You are my destiny~" the low but melodic voice echoed causing more than one student to look at the commotion. "You're my everything~" Christopher Bang dropped his face into his hands groaning. Laughter surrounded him and when he finally looked up his three best friends were seating themselves at his table.

"Can you not?" he asked keeping his head low in embarrassment. "What if she heard you?"

"Then, you're welcome." Hyunjin replied smirking at his horrified expression.

"Usually, you don't draw attention to yourself."

"I asked him to do it." Changbin replied grinning.

"Minho," he turned to the chestnut-haired man who was sitting next him sipping an iced coffee and staring blankly ahead. "I thought you could control them when I'm not around?"

"Hmm?" he finally turned his attention back to the group eyes passing over the snickering couple and then to his best friend. "Control them? Why?"

"Ugh!" he buried his head back into his hands. There were a few moments of silence before he asked someone to check if she was looking.

"Chan," Changbin sighed shrugging Hyunjin's arm off his shoulders so he could eat his snack. "It's been a year. A year of you hiding like some creep instead of talking to her."

"I can't just...just walk up to someone like her and talk, are you crazy?"

"Why not?" Minho asked leaning over to steal a piece of Changbin's pastry. They bickered momentarily while Hyunjin crossed his arms watching said girl laughing with a pretty blonde boy.

"Because..." he finally lifted his head following Hyunjin's gaze as he trailed off. Standing several feet away was Luna Vasquez, an exchange student from South America. She had long black hair that fell in subtle waves down her back, warm brown eyes that reminded him of the desert in Australia, and a pretty smile. Her accent was his favorite thing about her even when she stumbled over Korean and English.

Chan had first seen her at orientation a year ago when she approached the tent he was volunteering at. His department had asked him too since he was top in the music department. She didn't know anything about music production, but she had told him it sounded cool and thanked him for the pamphlet. Thinking back, he was pretty sure he had been a blushing idiot the entire time. Fast forward to now and he still hadn't worked up the courage to introduce himself officially. Not even after Hyunjin went through the trouble, or so he said, to get her name.

"Because?" Minho prompted when Chan still hadn't answered. He blinked a few times and shrugged laughing awkwardly.

"Because look at me," he gestured to himself ignoring the skeptical expressions of his friends. "Someone as pretty as her deserves better...I bet that handsome blonde guy is her boyfriend anyway." He sighed his mouth turning down into a scowl eyes falling to the table. Changbin tsked throwing his pastry onto the napkin in front of him.

"Yah! What are you talking about?"

"Bin-"

"No," he spoke over Hyunjin. "I'm tired of you moping around like a love sick puppy. You don't know if that's her boyfriend or not unless you talk to her. Do you think I would be with Hyunjin now if I didn't say something?"

"You and I are different, Changbin." Chan answered picking at the table.

"No we're not."

"Chan's right, you are." Minho stated taking the discarded pastry.
