Chapter Nine -

Yeosang stood in the bathroom staring at his reflection. He had chosen to style his hair in simple waves that fell delicately around his face complimenting his fair complexion. Light eyeliner accented his almond shaped eyes and the smudge of gold in the corners glinted under the fluorescent lights. His suit jacket had been left hanging in his office leaving him in a button-down shirt, and gray slacks. A simple outfit but elegant and certainly form fitting enough to accentuate his body.

A sigh escaped his red lips, freshly painted with gloss, hand fishing the bottle of suppressants from his pocket. His head hurt, his muscles ached, his chest was tight with nerves. Like the rest of Seoul, Yeosang knew very little of his fiance. No one had managed to capture his photo, and if they had he was sure they were paid enough to delete any files. The news outlets rarely reported anything of note about Han Jisung besides his upcoming engagement, and the fact he was Han Beom Seok's remaining heir. The alpha chaebol had been a hot topic for several years, and an even bigger mystery.

It had taken quite a large sum of money for ANG Corp to keep their first meeting a well-kept secret, many employees receiving bonuses for their silence. However, he knew someone's greed would influence them to sell a photo to the papers, and the outcome of this get together added to Yeosang's stress. He had managed to keep his thoughts at bay as long as he was not required to fulfill his responsibilities as a fiance, throwing himself into his work, but now, now it was real.

Quickly he pressed the pills against his tongue and bent down turning on the faucet. The water was cold as it filled his cupped palm and he swallowed it eagerly humming at the crisp taste. When he finished drinking, he kept his head down pressing his wet palm against his neck. His thoughts drifted causing him to release another audible sigh.

He could care less about how the alpha looked; he only worried about how he would act. Would he be cruel and arrogant? Would he force Yeosang into the omega mold that society had created? Yes, he was beautiful, but he was masculine too, strong yet gentle, confident but wise, there were two sides of him that melded into perfect symmetry. Kang Yeosang was more than an omega, and he did not want to marry someone who saw him as nothing but a rank existing only to bear their pups.

He wanted a partner who complimented his weaknesses and supported his strengths, someone who gave him space to be who he was, and the grace when he made mistakes. A person who loved him regardless of what expectations were placed on them whether as a business mogul or a hybrid. Someone like...

"Hyung." His eyes snapped open, and he looked into the mirror at the intruder. Yeosang had been too preoccupied to notice another presence and his eyes widened at who stood behind him. "It's today, isn't it?"

He always spoke quietly but Yeosang heard the pain behind the question, and it made his heart ache. Slowly he straightened, taking his time to dry his hands before he turned to face them leaning against the counter. His knuckles were white as he gripped the ledge.

"Yes," he replied, flashing him a subtle smile. "My apologies, but I didn't realize we had a meeting scheduled, Jongho-ssi."

"We didn't." The younger male's response hung in the air filled with unspoken intentions. Yeosang's smile faltered and his eyes shifted from Jongho's face to the floor. The vice president was in front of him in seconds, one hand gripping his chin to lift his face, the other grasping his shoulder. Jongho lowered his head brown eyes searching Yeosang's grip tightening as he held him. He allowed the contact melting into his touch wishing he could wrap his arms around his neck and pull him closer. His gaze averted to Jongho's neck where his scent gland would be, his body longing to nuzzle against it and inhale in an effort to calm his nerves.
