36- Assignment

At this moment, the sound of footsteps heard, followed by the voice of Leo.

"What did Uncle J steal?"

Leo entered the living room from the front main door.

Both Rizi and Jason turned to look towards him.

Leo dressed in a white casual shirt and jeans with a cap, a mask, and white sneakers having a Superman logo, greeted them with a smile.

He had his small bag on his shoulder and was holding Aunt Maria's hand with one of his hands.

Seeing his mama's loving gaze, he rushed towards Rizi with his small legs and raised his arms.

Understanding his gesture, Rizi instantly picked him up and made him sit on her lap.

Leo gave a quick peck on Rizi's cheek, then he turned towards Jason and spoke in his childish voice. "Yo Uncle J! what did you steal? What are you hiding from me?"

Leo raised his brows multiple times.

Jason gulped. "Nothing little devil. Why we will hide something from you. You are a smart kid that will figure out things if there is something fishy."

He looked Rizi straight into her eyes and signaled her to help him cover-up.

Rizi cleared her throat "Well, Leo, that was elder's talk. You are too young to know. Now, tell me did you meet Master David? Did He like your sketches?"

Leo's green eyes sparkled with excitement. His lips curl into a big smile "Yes mama. Master liked it very much. He gave me this gift."

Then he took out a jade ring from his bag and then showed it to Rizi.

The ring was not an ordinary ring. It was an expensive jade. Rizi smiled proudly "wow, my baby is super awesome." She placed a deep kiss on Leo's cheek.

Leo blushed and turned towards Jason.

"Uncle J, see this ring. How is it? I will gift it to Aunt Sara."

Jason's face turned sour in an instant.

This brat!

"Do you know when you give someone a ring that means you are proposing her for marriage?" Jason pinched space between his eyebrows.

Leo tilted his face and smirked, "Isn't that great? I will propose to Aunt Sara. When I am a grown-up man, I will marry her."

"Your Aunt Sara will become an ugly old lady by the time you will grow up." Jason rolled his eyes.

This kid needs some serious beating and lessons.

Leo's smile fainted.
He supported his chin using his small palm while resting his elbow on his lap.

He looked at Jason with a questioning gaze.  "Uncle J, are you telling me the truth?

"You are not lying?"

"No little devil. Ask you, mama." Jason shrugged and placed his cup on the table.

"Mama, is it true? When I will grow up Aunt Sara will become very old?" Leo turned towards Rizi.

"Yes, baby. She will also grow old by the time you will grow up." Rizi explained to him honestly.

Leo shook his head in deep thought.

His big green sparkling eyes evaluated something.

After a couple of seconds, he spoke as if he made up his mind, "Ok don't worry about it. I will still marry and take care of her. She will be my favorite Aunt Sara always."

Jason was dumbfounded. He scoffed. This little devil!

It will be a big challenge for him to explain this little fellow about her and Sara's relationship.

Rizi enjoyed Jason's situation.
She was curious to see how Jason will convince Leo to give up his favorite Aunt Sara to him.

The afternoon went by smoothly.

At night, after tucking Leo to the bed, Rizi came into her secret study room with a baby monitor as always.

With a voice command, her computer screen lit up in an instant. Zack and Abby got connected over the video conference.

"Anything new buddies?" Rizi asked while sitting on her chair.

Her slender fingers started dancing around the keyboard with mind-boggling speed.

After a while, going through the report, Rizi sighed. "This new assignment is a bit risky."

"They want some intel on the underhand dealings related to drug smuggling. This list of people and associated companies are not some normal people to trifle with. Some of them are high society elites and government officials. Hacking each of them without leaving any footprints is not an easy game." Zack nodded in agreement while briefly discussing their new assignment.

"That too, when so many people are searching for us and trying to track us. We are quite famous on the dark web" Abby smirked.

"How much did they paid this time?" Rizi questioned while she increased her typing speed and squinted her eyes.

"Each intel for one of the names from the list. 3 million each!" Zack exclaimed with a dollar sign in his eyes.

"Huh. Before the next assignment. Increase the price. They want to use our advanced services. Ask a hefty sum. Information is not cheap and risk here is bigger." Rizi stopped typing and propped her legs up like an unruly boss.

Zack and Abby nodded in agreement.

"Also, informed them about Hackathon BugHackX and our participation. They have to provide all the necessary support." She added. Then a message popped up on her screen. "You have successfully breached the Network."

Rizi smiled triumphantly.

"Wow. That was fast!" Zack reacted in an instant. He was impressed as always. He wanted to do an autopsy of her brain to see how it functions. She had excelled and become a top hacker in such a short period. Sometimes, he doubts if she is human. There was no hacker on the dark web that can surpass her.

Many skilled hackers were trying to track them and find their real identities, but the software and network that Rizi had built and she was still upgrading; were so advance that to date, no-one was able to breach their algorithm and not able to track them.

"Now fellas, start digging information and make sure to do a clean job."
Rizi turned towards Abby.

"Anything new?"

Abby understood what she was inquiring about.

"Yes Zi. That leather jacket guys received a good amount of money today. I traced the account number and it was from Lily's IP address, but the account is under her mother's name." Abby informed.

"Also, he stopped following. I will still keep an eye on his calls and emails." She added.

Abby quickly forward all information to Zack and Rizi.

Rizi stopped typing and leaned back on the chair in deep thought. She folded her arms and her eyes turned dark.

"Hide as much as you want. Sooner or later. I will expose and destroy you guys!"
