On the way back to Springrock city, Rizi was quiet.
She was staring out of the window.
Her mind recalled events of the day.
Winning the hackathon, getting locked in the washroom, Zain coming to her rescue.
Even though she is a strong woman now, she had loved that asshole of a man in the past with all her heart.
His close encounter had brought back old memories that she had buried deep inside her heart.
That familiar scent was still lingering in her mind troubling her.
Her mind drifted towards the first time she saw him when she was in the final year of the Master's of Business Administration program.
It was the day of the annual college festival.
She wore jeans and a simple white t-shirt paired with sneakers.
Her hair was tied in a messy bun using a pencil.
She never cared about her appearance during her graduation or post-graduation studies.
She was naturally beautiful and was gifted with clear fair and plump skin.
So she never preferred much makeup. Just a lipgloss or black liner occasionally.
Books and libraries were her closest buddies.
She had very few friends in college.
That day, He was invited as a guest to attend a college festival. He had to deliver a speech on how he became more successful and took Bennetti Group to new heights at such a young age. He was a college alumni.
She was sitting in the front row holding books in her hands and getting bored. She was not much interested in such college activites. She opened her book and started reading.
She was a smart and obedient student who wanted to do her best and excel in everything she does.
Even though her interest was more in computers, she enrolled in MBA on her dad's request. She wanted to make him proud.
Suddenly she heard intense murmuring of the crowd.
She turned her head towards the direction everyone was staring at.
A tall handsome young man clad in a navy blue high end branded suit, white shirt and matching tie walked up on the stage adjusting his cufflinks.
His green eyes were sharp and mysterious.
His neatly gelled hair and cleft chin made him appear more mature and serious. Girls were swooning over his handsome face and strong personality.
The moment he started his speech, girls were squirming with gasps in their seats. Rizi rolled her eyes. She was not bothered that much and started reading her book. Unknown to her, those green eyes were looking at her occasionally.
He gave a nice inspirational speech in his magnetic voice.
After the festival was over, she stood up and left the auditorium hall.
While she was on her way to the library she saw the green-eyed man in conversation with her senior Mark and Susanna.
She raised her eyebrow wondering whether her cousin knew him already.
She shrugged her shoulders, lowered her head and continued walking towards the library.
She was responding to Jason's text messages on the way.
Suddenly she bumped into a hard surface.
