53- Lost golden ticket

In Central Ford City:

The man was staring angrily at his assistant. "What did you just say?"

"B-Boss. We have lost the competition. Our team lost in the last round." The assistant stuttered and spoke in a low voice.

"Give me the specifics." The man clenched his jaw.

"B-boss. Our team lost because the opponent's software was more advance than us. These are more details of what happened." The assistant quickly handed over the iPad to his boss.

The man furrowed his brows. He scrolled on the iPad and squinted his eyes.

After reading the report, his nostrils flared.

He angrily stood up from his chair and threw the iPad on the floor.

"This is bullshit. Where are those scumbags? Immediately call them to the office once they return. So incompetent people! I paid such a huge amount of money and invested so much. They cannot win a simple fucking competition. " He roared in anger.

He swept his desk in a single motion and threw everything on the floor.

Sound of glass breaking, an object falling on the ground were heard outside the office.

Employees gulped in nervousness.

Inside, Assistant jumped and stood at the side.

His boss was out of his mind and indeed very much angry.

He decided to call the young miss quickly to calm him down.

He took out his mobile phone from his pocket and dropped a quick message to the young miss.

The man was seething in anger.

He was cursing and breaking everything inside his office.

"Fucking idiots!" He kicked his chair and desk angrily.

The Assistant mobile phone beeped.

He read the message and was shit scared. He has just received one more bad news. He was contemplating on how to tell this to his already angry boss.

He weighted the pros and cons in his mind.
If he will refrain information that will definitely not end well for him. So its better to give information now.

"B-Boss there is one more n-news."

"What is it now?" The man snapped. His eyes spitting fire.

The assistant trembled.

"B-Boss, the o-opponent winning team The Alpha Team is none other than our Rivals LRD Security Solutions. They announced their wining software will be launched in a week."

Boom!

The man was about to blast in a fit of rage.

But at this moment, the door of the office was suddenly open.

A girl wearing Chanel black jumpsuit and heels came in suddenly and her body trembled a bit seeing her father in such a rage.

The Assistant felt immense relief seeing the young miss entered.

The Girl motioned him to leave.

The girl walked towards her Father and spoke in a coaxing voice. "Dad. Please calm down. You are scaring everyone in the office."

The men turned towards his daughter. His eyes were bloodshot. He gritted his teeth and shouted with a stern expression, "All are incompetent morons around me! Including you!"

"Daddy." The girl's felt humiliated.

"Don't Daddy me Susanna!" The man sneered. "If you were capable enough, we would have benefited from Bennetti Group of companies by now."

Susanna's face fell. "Dad. Calm down. It's not good for your health, please. We will figure something out." Susanna tried to coax her father Dino Cruz.

She was out with her friends at the spa.

As soon as she received the message from his father's assistant, she immediately left the place and drove towards Cruz Corps.

On the way, she called other employees to figure out what had happened.

She was taken aback on the information received.

His father was sure shot in winning this hackathon.

He had planned everything meticulously for quite a time and had invested a lot more money thinking about future gains and profits on working with the National Security Agency and Bennetti Groups.

But their team lost. He had pulled many strings to hire those skilled hackers and to improve the product. This was his golden ticket for close acquaintances with Zain Bennetti and National Security Agency.

His illegal businesses and underhand dealings would have been easily covered up working with one of the richest men in the country Zain Bennetti and government officials i.e. National Security Agency.

Grey Technosoft was doing well business-wise but this was a golden ticket to shot up to the fame and to enter the top higher circle of the millennial society. But now that golden ticket is lost. His rival company had stolen it. Not technically. They have won fair and square. But her dad was losing his mind.

Dino Cruz looked at her daughter.

He covered his face with his palms and took a deep breath.

"Please tell me, Dad. What had happened?" Susanna deliberately pretended to be obtuse.

Dino Cruz looked at her daughter annoyingly "Those idiots lost the hackathon. It was a golden opportunity. We would have got a partnership with the National Security Agency and Bennetti Groups. 20 million rewards and fame was added benefit." Dino Cruz angrily slammed his desk again.

"But now it's gone." Dino Cruz then explained her the whole ordeal while cursing in between and explained how LRD Security Solutions had won at the last moment.

Susanna pretended to be shocked. "You mean our rival company won the event! How is that possible?"

Dino Cruz tried controlled his anger "I DON'T FUCKING KNOW!"

"Okay, Dad! Relax. We will figure out something. I will ask Zain to consider Grey Technosoft for partnership."

"NO WAY!" Dino Cruz gnashed his teeth.

He felt humiliated.

He had deliberately leaked the information of him being the CEO of Grey Technosoft when he heard that his team was about to win at the end of the final round.

He wanted to create hype for fame. But he did not know that the tables will turn in the last 10-15 minutes only. Now his own action will bite him in the ass at the cost of his reputation.

Everyone would now know that LRD Security Solutions had defeated Grey Technosoft miserably. He has lost face in front of so many rich people. He will now become the topic of gossip among the elites and billionaires for sometime.

"I need some fresh air. I need to clear my mind. I will see you at home" Dino Cruz picked his car keys and stormed out of the office angrily.
