Once Seojun had found them a table, Yeongja only sat there, staring at her milkshake and brownie as she fiddled with her fingers. Seojun watched while sipping his own shake, questions flooding his thoughts.
When he saw the Kim girl start reach for her drink, but suddenly pull back, he decided to speak up, "It'll melt." He said and Yeongja looked up at him in surprise.
"It'll melt and then it'll just be strawberry milk." Seojun added, "Trust me, this..." He continued, pointing to Yeongja's shake, "You can't leave the Earth without having this. It's good. My favorite." He ended with a smile.
Yeongja nodded once the boy finished, "Okay." She said quietly and Seojun's smile widened a bit more and he gestured his head toward her drink.
It's just a drink. It has fruit so it's healthy. I can eat it...er, drink it. Yeongja said to herself as she slowly started reaching for her drink again. I don't want to waste it, either. Especially when I didn't buy it.
Grabbing her milkshake carefully, Yeongja brought it towards herself, using her right hand to place the straw between her lips.
It's just a drink, it has fruit so it's healthy, and I can drink it. Yeongja repeated. She glanced at Seojun through her bangs, who was still watching her and practically bouncing with excitement, before taking her first sip ever of a milkshake.
As she pulled the sweet drink into her mouth, Yeongja's eyes began to go wide as the flavors hit her tongue.
After a few seconds of drinking, the Kim girl pulled back and stared at her drink in awe.
The Han boy, who now sat on the edge of his seat with his own wide eyes, grinned at the girl, "So?" Seojun asked excitedly.
Yeongja glanced at him again, "It's..." She started.
"Uh-uh?" Seojun went, leaning on the table now.
"It's..."
"Yeah?!"
"It's...good!" Yeongja finally said. "Like really good. How is it so good?" She asked frowning at her cup now.
