At the hospital, Seojun sat near the elevators in the hallway of the lobby. He was told that his mother was talking to her doctor in his office and that she should be down soon.
As he drummed on his legs, the Han boy buzzed with excitement ever-so-ready to see his mom.
Barely 15 seconds had passed before a ding sound was made, and his mother was exiting the elevator.
"Mom!" Seojun shouted with a big smile on his face, raising his arm up to show himself.
"O, Seojun-ah?!" His mother exclaimed in suprise.
"Did the meeting go well?" He asked.
"Why did you come here?" Mrs. Han asked, "You should have gone straight home after school." She added. "But...you didn't ride your motorcycle, right?"
"I told you, I don't anymore!" Seojun whined, grabbing his mother's purse.
"And I was out anyways." He added quietly as he walked alongside his mother.
"Ms. Mihyang..." Seojun started, lowering his tone as he went to wrap an arm across his mother's shoulders, "Why are you starting to worry so much?" He teased and Mihyang laughed.
"Your doctor called me, though. He said you were to be discharged soon, so I came to see you and heard you were in the meeting." He continued with excitement, "It must have went well, right? You have your bag." He noted as he lifted his mother's purse, "What did he say?" Seojun asked excitedly.
"He said that, so far, there are no transplant rejections and the numbers are good." Mrs. Han answered and Seojun nodded along as she spoke, "He told me to keep taking my medicine and to take good care of myself."
The Han boy looked down at his mother with the biggest smile on his face, "That's great!" He exclaimed as he came to a stop, raising a fist in triumph.
"Should we go eat something good? And call Gowoonie, too?" He suggested.
"Next time. Eomma has to stop by somewhere today." Mihyang declined and Seojun blinked in surprise.
