How can one describe the relationship between a parent and a child, more specifically the love between a mother and a daughter.

Let's take Kari for example as well as Lizzie, although they might not be blood related; Lizzie still treats that little girl as her own. She handles her with so much care, gives her words of advice and sweet cuddles on her good and bad days.

You might be wondering why I'm telling you this..well..(adds in chuckle)

"Mm, no I don't like it." Qoya huffed and put her hands to her face, her elbow to her knees as she slouched more on her chair.

"What's wrong with it, you've been doing the same lick for 20 minutes." Charlie said calmly.

"I sound sharp, while everything else is flat until." Qoya made a noise of disapproval, holding her arms out as well as scrunching her face in annoyance.

"Qoya, you're overworking yourself right now-

"I'm-

"I'm not done speaking." Charlie pointed at her and crossed his arms, leaning back into his chair.

Qoya closed her eyes for a minute and held her hands out for him to continue.

"We have three months until all of this is completely done and this won't take long-and I know you're going to say Project L is important which I know it is. But you're not going to finish this if you pass out from dehydration and lack of hunger." Charlie raised his eyebrow at his words as Qoya put her head down.

"You will get this done when you take care of yourself so I am only saying this with the kindness of my heart." Charlie crouched down in front of Qoya, putting his hand on her knee for her to look down at him.

"Go the fuck home or I'm kicking you out of my studio." Charlie said with a chipper voice, tilting his head with a smile.

Qoya's jaw practically hit the floor at his words, her face clearly offended but she knew what he meant.

"Don't you argue with me, it's almost 7 and you should be home with the wife and kid." Charlie moved his way up to his feet, spinning on his heels to start packing up.

"Girl I don't know why you're still sitting there, by the time I'm done one of those feet better be at that door."

"Alright alright." Qoya rolled her eyes playfully and got up from her seat and started packing some things up.

"When you get home, please eat something before Lizzie gets upset that you haven't eaten today." Charlie closed his laptop and put it in his carry on bag with his book bag, slinging it on one shoulder.

"Okay I will, I'm just." Qoya sighed softly and rocked on her toes. "I just want them to like it you know, it's more than just this song."

"Yeah I get that, that's why I'm going to brainstorm and check all the stuff you recommend for Project L." He tapped his bag and then walked his way to the studios door.

"Thank you." Qoya said once Charlie locked the door.

"For what?" Charlie said as he and Qoya walked side by side down the stairs and down the halls of the company building.

"For being there, being honest and helpful with my work. Being a good friend, I've never met someone who's a work partner and a friend." Qoya stopped at her motorcycle, her guitar still being in the studio for a different day.
