The Ants drew lots again, each of them more excited to fight than the last.
"14! Who has 14?" The frog called out, holding a slip of paper. An insect with a really long snout, and long sharp claws stepped forward. I cooked my head to the side, lifting a finger to my chin.
"What even are you?" I asked, and I heard a loud 'huh?!' from both Gon and Killua from behind me.
"Thats an anteater! How the hell do you not know that?!" Killua exclaimed, gesturing to the insect who looked slightly offended.
"An anteater?" I blinked, turning back to the bug. "Well isn't that ironic?" I snickered, a smirk slithering across my face.
"Tch. Of course I had to draw the most annoying one." The Ant grumbled, and I only raised my eyebrows, shoving my hands in my pockets as I grinned slyly at the thing.
"Sounds like you were hoping to pick me." I stated, deciding to be snarky and sarcastic. But let's be honest, when am I not?
"I'm sure hoping that eating you will finally shut you up." He hissed back, and I shrugged, lifting my hands from my pockets.
"Yeah, I'd imagine that'd do the trick." I replied, my smirk never leaving. "But I'll probably haunt you, so..." I trailed off, giving the Ant a careless look.
"Tch, you brats are all so irritating." He growled before quickly springing into action. I swiftly jumped into the air, flying over the creature. I successfully jumped over his attack, landing behind him.
"Sounds like you're a fan." I replied before appearing behind him again. "Sorry, but I don't do autographs." I grinned slyly, leaning into his ear.
My hands gripped his arms, my aura turning dangerously cold. He screamed as my aura burned him with its temperature, quickly deteriorating his skin. His long claws quickly got in the way, slashing at me. I leaned back, dodging the blow before jumping away.
"A little warning first would be nice. That was close." I sighed, scratching the back of my neck. The anteater Ant narrowed his eyes at me, shooting me a puzzled look.
"Why did I get stuck fighting such an idiot?" He snapped lowly, clearly not enjoying my joking remarks. I guess he wants to be taken serious. That's too bad for him that I'm sort of lacking in that area.
The Ant ran at me again, using his sharp claws to try and tear at my skin. I ducked under his left hand before dodging his right hand. I began to avoid his fast slashes as he grunted in frustration. I swiftly slid under his clawed hand before kicking the insect in the stomach, sending him flying. He screamed in rage as his back slammed into a tree before crashing to the ground.
However, that didn't seem to take the creature out as he quickly sprung up from the ground. He ran at me, and I easily stepped out of the way. A long whip like thing was suddenly slung at me, and I quickly stepped back, my eyes widening in surprise.
The Ant turned, and I realized that he had tried to hit me with his crazy long barbed tongue.
"Now that's just gross, man." I groaned, waving my hand at him before crossing my arms.
"Do you ever shut up?!" He growled before slinging his tongue at me. The muscle moved at great speeds, mocking a whip. The weapon shook me slightly, stirring dark memories deep within me. I continued to dodge the attacks, before sticking my arm out and roughly grabbing his tongue, catching it mid swing.
"Mm, can't say I do. Sorry." I replied, mocking a apologetic tone. My aura suddenly surrounded the tongue, quickening freezing it. I wasted no time in breaking the chunk of ice, ripping the Ant's tongue off. He screamed in pain as he stumbled back, blood spewing from the new stump in his mouth.
