Chapter 14

<Carolyn's POV>

"Ed, we need you to come to the hospital right now, leave the baby with nana.. something awful happened here" I said into the phone.

"What happened?" He asked

"Ed just get here I'll explain later! Your wife is in danger!" I snapped and then dropped the phone and walked to the broken glass and blood and stood next to Camilla.

"I hope she's ok.." Camilla said

"I know what happened..." I whispered

"Huh?" Camilla asked, but I shook my head and then we walked out of the room to the hospital gift shop.

"Why is she going through all of this..it's my fault.." I said.

"Violet!" Camilla yelled

"What?" I asked her.

"Violet is coming back today! She doesn't know that Nadia was born, Lorraine wasn't due for another 3 months! And now she doesn't know that Lorraine was been through 2 surgeries!" Camilla said, pulling at her hair and pacing around the gift shop.

"Camila calm down. You can go fetch Violet from the airport and take her bags back to Raines house and explain everything to her. I'll stay here and I'll keep you updated. Then come back once Violet has settled in, but you need to leave now!" I explained and she nodded.

Camilla ran out of the hospital gift shop and she went to the airport.

Ed arrived shortly after she left.

"Carolyn what happened?" He asked me

"I don't know, Camilla knows." I said, starting to worry about her.

"Where's Camilla?" He asked, his temper rising.

"Well, she went to go fetch Violet from the airport and she won't be back for another hour." I said quietly, signaling that he shouldn't snap.

"Goddamn it!" He snapped and then went to Lorraine's hospital room.

I followed him, kind of scared of how he was about to react to all the blood.

"Carolyn!!!!! What happened!" He yelled.

"I said I don't know! You'll have to wait for Camilla!" I yelled back.

"What did you do to her!" He yelled

"I didn't do anything!" I yelled back

He raised his hand, attempting to slap me but I caught his hand before he could touch me.

"Don't ever raise your hand at me!" I yelled

"Tell me what happened to my wife!" He yelled

I grabbed his tie and brought him closer to me.

"For the last time! I didn't do anything to her!" I yelled and pushed him back and then ran into the room and locked myself in the bathroom. I felt safer in there.

- Violets POV -

I was so happy to be back here with my sister! She was just 3 months away from giving birth and I was determined to be there for her. I stepped off the plane and walked into the airport. I was so excited. I collected my bags and then walked out and saw Camilla and Andrea standing there waiting for me.

"Hi guys!" I said hugging both of them.

"Where's Raine and Ed?" I said smiling

Camilla sighed and offered to take my other bag for me.

"What? What's wrong?" I asked

They both kept quiet.

"Is she ok?" I asked

Nothing. They ignored me.

"Ok when you're ready, tell me what's up.." I said .

A few minutes had passed and Camilla finally spoke up.

"Raine has a serious injury, it literally happened about 2 hours ago" she said as she turned the car on.

I felt my heart drop.

"What happened? Is the baby ok?" I asked

"Well, she was born 3 days ago.. she's got a medical issue but that's not too big a deal.. This is Raines 2nd surgery since you've left.." Andrea said

"Wait, she wasn't due for another 3 months?" I said

"I know, but we will discuss that later. Anyway.. Lorraine and I were in her hospital room when I heard someone knock on the door, I thought it was Carolyn.. Lorraine warned me not to open it but I opened the door anyway.. she told me to step away from the door and then she went up and started speaking Latin. Then she flew across the room into a window, she fell on her bum and the glass was all over her, she had deep cuts on her arm and face and the rest of her body.. they took her in for another surgery, Nadia and Judy are at nanas, Ed doesn't know and I don't understand what happened, Carolyn does.. I think we should wait for Lorraine to recover and see what she tells us.." Camilla explained.
