Chapter 27

<Lorraine's POV>

"She, came back, what? Who?" I asked, confused with everything that was happening lately.

Carolyn laid my head back down.

"We'll explain later, you can't rack your brain too much, it's not good." she said.

"But what happened, why am I here?" I asked.

"You were in a car accident, but get some rest now.." Carolyn said. "Ed, how're we going to tell Judy? She's been in hospital so many times this year.." she continued.

Ed shook his head and took my hand and knelt besides me.

"Lorraine my angel, I'm sorry I've been so distant lately.. I never want you to ever get the impression that I'm cheating because there's no other person I'd rather be with than you. I don't want to loose you, you mean the world to me. Every time I kiss you, I fall in love with you all over again. I don't feel normal when I hug you, I feel magical. You're my everything and I don't know what I'd do without you." he said.

I tried to open my eyes but it was no use.. but I let him know I could hear him. I squeezed his hand and tried my best to smile at him.

He kissed my hand and put his hand on my head.

Then Ed left the room, and Carolyn came in.

"Hey" she said, and laid down in the little space next to me, she held my hand really tight and she was silent for a bit.

"Lorraine.." she said and I squeezed her hand to let her know I was awake.

"I'm sorry.. This is partly my fault... if it wasn't for me, none of this would've happened..." she said, and her words moved me so much that I got the strength to stand up.

"Stop right there.." I managed to say.

She jolted up and looked at me in shock.

"If it wasn't for you moving into that house and contacting me and all that jazz, we wouldn't be here right now... which would suck, Carolyn, never say never.. it's a great thing that all of this happened, because if it didn't, I wouldn't be sitting here with one of my best friends ever! Thank you for everything Carolyn!" I said. She stared at me in shock.

"Lorraine! You're ok?" she said and then she smiled and I nodded from her.

She smiled at me again and gave me a hug.

"Your daughter is an amazing singer.." I said, then giggled.

"I'm not surprised.." she said and smiled.

"Were you ever a singer?" I asked and she furrowed her brow.

"Nope, never!" She said

"Why?" I asked

"I used to.. Then I just stopped after I had Andrea.." She said and shrugged.

"Why?" I asked again

"Lorraine you're asking so many questions for a person who should be sleeping now shut up!" She joked and we both started laughing.

"Hey! I've got an idea!" She said after the laughter died down

"What?" I asked when she got off the bed and got her laptop.

"I'm going to skype Andrea, and see what's going on." She said and I nodded in agreement.

"Shit.. Camilla.." She whispered and closed her laptop and looked at me.

She picked up her phone and she called Ed, and of course I was beyond confused.

"We left her in the house with you know.." She said

"Yes but we can't just leave her there I mean this is Lorraine's best friend!"

"Uh shit, ok is she done though? If she is then bring them here and then you go to Camilla"

"Ok, cool see you in a bit." She said and then dropped the phone

"What's going on?" I asked

"Ed is bringing the girls here and he's going to check if Camilla is alright." she said and I was still confused.

"What's going on with Camilla? Why do we need to check if she's alright?" I asked and Carolyn shook her head.

"Don't worry right now, we will explain everything when you're back home." she said and held my hand and laid back down and stared at the ceiling.

"I'm sorry again.." she said

"Don't blame yourself.. it's not your fault!" I said and she nodded and then I soon fell asleep.
