Author's note: so, as I said in my last note this story is a lot longer than I thought it would be, definitely too long to be one part. That's probably still going to be the case even after finishing this part, sooo, just hang tight. I'll try to keep it as interesting to read as I can for you guys.

It's been roughly two weeks since Peter and Wanda's date, and the moment Wanda's been dreading has finally begun. She had no doubt that Peter would follow the advice she gave him to the letter in regards to his rehearsals with Felicia for the upcoming play. She trusted Peter completely, but she obviously had serious doubts about Felicia. Having a poor reputation in regards to boys was bad enough, but to see and hear it with her own two eyes and ears that day was detrimental to Wanda's stress and anxiety. In an effort to ease her stress in regards to the matter, she meditated consistently as Dr. Strange and Wong have taught her. In addition to this, she began visiting Peter's aunt May a bit more often when Peter wasn't home.

She loved aunt May, as ever since she was first introduced to her, May had shown Wanda kindness she had never experienced before, aside from Peter. May was a mature woman, who, despite looking much younger than she was, still had an old soul. Her apartment contained some older technology such as a record player, a fax machine, and some old paintings. While the majority of the household wasn't truly, fully decorated with that older aesthetic, it did clash with most of how Peter's room looked, which was filled with a more recent science and pop culture aesthetic. Even still, Peter was influenced by his aunt and late uncle's fondness for the older American culture. Especially music from the fifties and sixties, which Wanda took a keen interest in when he introduced her to it. May herself, was a wise and kind woman with a big heart for other people, all traits Peter inherited from her as far as Wanda could tell. When they were first introduced to each other, May welcomed Wanda with open arms and had since become somewhat of a motherly figure to Wanda, despite, or perhaps a result of, Wanda's ever-deepening romantic bond with her nephew, who was her son in all but name. If Wanda had to guess, since Peter inherited many of his positive moral and emotional traits from his aunt, he might have inherited his brains and toughness from his late uncle Ben. May and Peter didn't speak about him often, but when they did, they spoke about him very fondly. Ben was, as far as Wanda understood, a very enlightened, intelligent, and strong in both physicality, and will, allowing for him to accomplish anything he set his mind to during his life...including raising a family. It was for all these reasons that Wanda had a deep respect for May and her late husband, and felt honored to be loved by the offspring of such a loving and humble family. It was also because of this, that Wanda looked to May as a maternal figure, and felt she could come to May with anything, anything at all, and she would be comforted and guided.

After the first week of Peter's rehearsals with Felicia, Wanda felt especially uneasy. She felt to embarrassed to bring up the subject to Peter directly, for fear of either uncovering something she had no desire to know, or making Peter feel untrustworthy in their relationship. So, she went to the one person who she knew could help: aunt May. She decided to discuss the matter with May at a coffee shop in Chinatown, as May had previously invited her. It was midmorning when Wanda arrived at the shop. May had been taking longer than either of them expected, so Wanda decided to order coffee for both of them ahead of time. Thankfully, she wouldn't have to wait long, as May arrived just ten minutes after Wanda had placed the order for them. "Oh, Wanda honey, I'm so sorry! Traffic was horrendous!" May stuttered to Wanda, slightly out of breath from rushing to her and Wanda's table. "Oh you're totally fine aunt May." Wanda reassured her, "I already placed an order for us. I didn't think you'd be too much longer." Wanda spoke with a light smile and soft tone. "Ugh, you are a doll." May smiled back as she put her hand on Wanda's. "I remember last night you texted me, said you wanted to talk about something with Peter and the play you kids were practicing for." Wanda nodded her head "yes" shortly after May finished her sentence. Before she could respond, the waiter come with the girls' drinks, which they gladly received and thanked the gentleman for. "Alright sweetheart. I have all afternoon." May said with a short drink of her coffee. "Walk me through it."

Wanda felt uncomfortable still. Not because she was about to speak on the matter with May, but that she was speaking on the matter again at all. But after a reassuring gaze from her boyfriend's caring motherly aunt, and enough of Wanda's confidence returned to her to begin the discussion. "Ok", she began. "So did Peter tell you about that whole stunt Felicia Hardy a few weeks back?" At this, May looked back, clearly turned salty by the very mention of the girl's name. "Oh yeah." May said in a more irritable, and disgusted tone in her voice. "I heard all about it from Peter after he came home from your dinner with him that night." Wanda felt even more reassured knowing that May knew and understood the matter, so she pressed further. "Can you believe her?! Can you even believe her?" May shook her head in a disappointed fashion. "Oh, honey I know. Trust me, I know." "I mean, being a blatantly shameless cheater and spoiled brat is one thing. But to just make a move like that at someone, in front of their girlfriend??? As if she owns every guy she sees and makes her horny?" May laughed at Wanda's last statement, which lightened the mood a for a moment, but she'd not forgotten the seriousness of the subject and quickly regained focus. "I know sweetheart it's unbelievable. I was furious when Peter told me in fact. Honestly the only reason I haven't yelled at the principal to have Felicia removed from campus is because the little shit's (excuse me, brat's) parents own the school she and Peter go to. So, I did the next best thing the next morning and criticized the campus online for allowing students to behave so crudely and disgustingly. It, didn't go over well. I was called a few hours later only to find out I was banned from the school." May said this with a devastated frown on her face. Wanda was shocked to hear such a thing. "What?! This play means so much to Peter, why would they do this to you both?" "I don't know." May said with a disappointed sigh, though her countenance soon lit back up. "Thankfully Peter took it far better than I expected him to. Apparently Loki can't stand the song but his brother Thor loves it. So he and his girlfriend Carol are going to watch the play when the night comes. I've asked them to record as much as they could for me to watch from home." "It won't be the same as being there." Wanda pointed out, saddened by the news. "I know," May agreed, "but I still figured it would be better to watch it one way or another instead of just hearing how it went. The important thing is that Peter isn't crushed to know I can't be there." "I guess that's true." Wanda said with a sigh.

"Anyway, back to little Felicia," May stated to get back on track. "What you need to understand, and trust me p, I know from experience. When girls like her are rejected they'll do one of two things. They'll either continue to chase after whoever they have their sights on, regardless of circumstances or potential consequences. Or, they'll lose interest and move on to someone who won't be as hard to entrance. Fortunately, Peter hasn't had any incidents with Felicia since they started rehearsals. No wired touching, no overstepping of boundaries, not even flirting. I think Peter following your advice to the letter definitely helped with that. I'm very proud of you, you were really smart with how you advised him on the issue." "Thank you," Wanda said with a warm smile, relieved that it seemed Peter was clean, but far more importantly to her, safe. May nodded with a smile in response to Wanda's thanks. "So you think Felicia will end up doing the latter?" Wanda asked to push any remaining anxiety or stress involving the problem out the window. "Here's hoping. Don't worry Wanda, Peter wouldn't cheat on you if his life depended on it, I know that for a fact. He loves you in a way I've never seen any young man love anyone before...or at least, since his uncle loved me." Wanda was deeply touched by this notion, and she held hands with her mother-in-arms upon the table. "And if that overprivileged love child ever dares to hurt Peter, I'll kill her." "Not if I beat you to her" Wanda said with a side grin.

At this time the girls were finished with their drinks and time together and hugged each other warmly upon leaving the shop and before heading home. "I'll be sure to tell Peter that you love him." May said during their embrace. "Thank you" Wanda replied with gratitude. "Anything for you sweat pea." At this, Wanda smiled, and tightened her embrace around May before letting go shortly after, and they waved one another goodbye.

Author's note: okay, so I'm so sorry this one shot is being dragged out longer than I originally hoped. This might end up being a four-parter. Rest assured. This one shot will be finished before the week is over, if not by Friday. Until then, just hand tight, and thank you for your patience.
