Fighting through all the clutter. Lydia wasn't sure what to do or where to go. She brushed herself off, climbing through rubble as she looked for the others.
"I'm gonna kill that purple asshole from space" She yelled, running toward Tony and Steve as they caught her. They all walked onto the battlefield with Thor.
"Where are the stones?" Steve asked
"Somewhere under all of, this" Lydia said
"You know it's a trap right?" Thor asked
"Yea" Tony said, "I don't much care"
"Good" Thor replied, "Just as long as we're all in agreement"
"Let's kill him properly this time" Thor said, looking at Lydia who nodded.
"I am thankful" Thanos said, "Because now, I know what I must do. I will shred this universe, down to its last atom. And then, the stones you've collected for me, create a new one, teeming with life, that knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe"
"Born out of blood" Steve commented
"They won't know..Because you won't be alive to tell them" Thanos spoke
Thor yelled, charging into action as Steve and Tony helped him. Lydia jumped in best she could, not having a stronger suit like Tony or strength like Steve, or power like Thor, but she managed. ————————————————————————
Thor had begun to go head to head with Thanos before Thanos overtook him, pressing stormbreaker down into him. Thor's hammer lifted, finding its way to Steve's hands.
"I knew it" Thor said happily
"Go Steve!" Lydia yelled as he used the new found ability to tackle Thanos.
Lydia rushed over as Steve was stopped by Thanos. Jumping onto his back and blinding him for a few minutes before he too flung her back. She groaned, attempting to sit-up.
"Asshole" she mumbled
"In all my years of conquest. Violence, slaughter, it was never personal" Thanos spoke slowly, "But i'll tell you now, what i'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet.. I'm gonna enjoy it, very very much"
Thanos "team" came down, marching slowly toward the others. Steve looked down, attempting to bring himself up as did Lydia the same.
Steve stood before the opposing team, walking over slowly. Determined.
"Hey Cap, you read me?" Sams voice filled the small radio, making Steve stop in his tracks. "Cap, its Sam. Can you hear me?"
Lydia looked up at Steve as they exchanged a few glances.
"Pigeon.. don't freak out" Sams voice came from behind
"Sam?!" She nearly yelled, turning quickly as she watched portal after portal open. Her heart racing. ———————————————————————-
