9-Disaster

Aether's POV:

I sign the papers and look through the schedule for becoming a model. I'm surprised that I'm going to become a model so soon, I only just came here for a trip to see Xiao and Ganyu model. I stare at the schedule for quite a while, Yoimiya was already talking to the Main Director Hu Tao. She seems nice, I looked around and see nothing in the hall as I sat on the red couch. I sigh, this is a really long schedule for a model, I'm guessing this is how Xiao and Ganyu feels when they have to wake up early. I keep glaring at the schedule until I felt a shock on my shoulders, I jumped up and let go of the papers. I looked back quickly to find that it was Hu Tao.

'Gotcha!' She shouted and jumped sideways, leaning her head on her palms.

'Awh! Hu Tao, stop it!' I shouted back looking annoyed,

'What's so wrong Aether?' She giggled and fell back on the couch, now her back was slouched.

'You scared me!' I replied to her, I couldn't keep a straight face when she fell down.

'Ow!' She fell down on the floor, rubbing her head to heal the pain,

'That's what you get for scaring me!' I sounded heroic for a second, then turned back to her face.

'Oh, fiesty! Heh! You really are fit for a model Aether, the looks are good!' She tried to change the subject and chuckled after.

She told me that I can start tomorrow, obviously with Xiao and Ganyu. I walked over towards the styling room, Lumine was sitting there, murmuring under her breath. I took a few steps and softly sat down at the seat beside her, she gasped when looking at her phone when I was about to speak. I fell silent. What was she gasping at? I looked over her shoulder, it seems like her new video blew up in 4 hours. I sigh and put my hands gently on her shoulder, she glared at me for a bit. A moment. A while. Then she started hugging me, I felt stunned when she did that. It was kind of awkward, but it's a sibling hug, so I hug her back. I pat her head and started speaking softly to her,

'Lumine,' I muttered,

'Yes Aether?' She replied with her voice as soft as possible,

'I start doing my model-job tomorrow.' I stated, as I softly whispered to her ear.

She pushed away our hug and backed away, she had a astonished facial expression on her face as I sat there, still as a branch.

'You-WHAT!?' She shouted, Ayaka got scared of it and started staring at us.

'Uh..' I was thinking of an excuse, but it's a little too late because she was rapidly shaking me back and forth.

'YOU'RE LOSING YOUR JOB AT THE CAFÉ, JUST FOR BEING A MODEL!?' She seemed concerned.

It struck me, I remembered the letter Xiangling gave me. She said that I would be taking care of her job as a cook for a few weeks, and also working as a cashier. I felt unsure if I wanted to lose that job and replace it with this one, well..I could have two jobs at a time. But, it's so hard figuring out a schedule. Ganyu walks in on us, as I started losing my mind in my thoughts. She came around to the middle of us and stood there, for a while. I didn't notice until Lumine mentioned her name, I snapped out of my thoughts, I stare at Ganyu for a while. I wanted to speak, but I didn't want to cause so much trouble in the department. So I sat there silently as Lumine stood up and walked away with Ganyu, they seem like really good friends now. I'm happy for her, I inspect everything around me before I open up my phone to check with Xiangling and the rest. I saw Xiao leaning his back on the wall near the racks of clothing on the right side of the room, then I saw Ayaka who was slowly coming over to me. She seemed shy, but I didn't have the time to interact with people right now. So I grabbed out my phone as Ayaka sat down next to me, I glared at her and sighed. I opened up messenger to check what I've been recently texted, Xiangling didn't wave me a message yet. I stare at my phone for a while, figuring out what message I should send her. Maybe, something about becoming a model and quitting my job in the cafe? But, that would make her upset, then the rest be upset. I start to think, I decided on some stuff in my head, but I sometimes think that the message wouldn't go so well either.

I saw Ayaka lean closer towards me as I rotated my head so my eyes met hers. She leans closer, what's she doing? I start to back away slowly, I start to notice what she was doing. I shouted, she seemed terrified as I screamed. She started sliding her arm on her other, she was trying to look shy. But I know what she's up to, she as trying to lean for a kiss. I'm not interested in girls, I'm technically gay. But I haven't told anybody about it yet, except for Lumine.

Xiao's POV:

I look back as I saw Aether on his phone, I saw Ayaka sitting there aswell. I felt jealousy and anger build up inside me, I didn't want to stay calm, but it's so hard. I look towards Ayaka as she starts to lean over to Aether's cheek...Then Aether's head turned to her, I couldn't keep my calm anymore. I was about to get mad, but Aether already shouted and backed away as far as possible. I wanted to kick Ayaka out of the company, but then Ganyu wouldn't understand, neither does Yoimiya. If I did that, Yoimiya would be upset and start to lose her happiness, Ayaka brought her happiness the most. But she is still a happy person, I'm happy she still is. I walked towards Aether and Ayaka, I grabbed Aether's hand and dragged him across the room, to where I was standing. Meanwhile, I saw Ayaka looking a little upset, I didn't really care what she thought, but she can't have Aether. I hold Aether's hand tightly as he starts to whine in pain, I gently let go of his hand,

'Sorry...'

He looked surprised,

'Is this the first time I hear Xiao say sorry?' He said excitedly, I never say Sorry, wait..why am I apologising?

'Shut up, I said coldly as pulled him closer.

'X-Xiao! What are you doing??' His cheeks get rosy and he starts to stutter at the end, struggling to make a sentence.

I picked him up and carried him in a bridal style, he shrieked silently as I picked him up. I quickly head out of the room, I looked at Ayaka who looked angry at me, well, I can't let her have Aether he's mine. I hissed silently at Ayaka as she sat there glaring at me, she seemed like she had a plan when she turned around and started to act shy all of a sudden. Was she this annoying as well? I like Aether's annoyance, but not her's. Ganyu and Lumine who were standing outside of the room, chatting. I walked out without noticing their sudden appearance when I walked out the door, they stared at me and Aether for quite a while, speechless. Then Lumine starts to whisper in Ganyu's ear, were they planning something again? I try to eavesdrop, but it's so hard to hear when I can hear Aether's adorable and silent squeaking noises. I looked at them, I even tried to hit Ganyu but my hands were full, if I let go, then Aether would fall. I hissed and walked the other direction as they smirked and sat there. I quickly headed to the second floor of the building, there were lots of rooms that people don't use, but the cleaners still clean it up. I use it as a private space or somewhere to have a private chat with someone, I hardly do that. I lay Aether on the floor and stood at the right-hand corner of the room, while he tried to stand up. Aether brushed his clothes and looked at me while I was leaning my back peacefully on the wall.

'Hey, Xiao..' He spoke quietly, but I could hear him from here,

'Yeah?' I tried to ignore him, because of that awkward situation.

'W-why'd you have to carry me?!' He started to act annoyed, but his expression made it cute, not irritating.

'Hmm,' I try not to tell him that I like him, that's a little too soon.

'Maybe because that idiot, Ayaka, was about to lean over and kiss you.' I looked in another direction as I spoke the last words.

'H-HUH!?' His face starts to go red,

I stood there silently.
