All of the students of Welton are led to the hall, everyone but the Dead Poets Society unaware of why they are there. Mr. Nolan stands behind the podium, looking down at the children with a frown set on his face. Will and Neil share wary looks, both anxious of what is to come. Charlie is standing a few rows away and, though he is the reason this assembly is called, he doesn't seem nervous.
"Sit." Mr. Nolan ordered, the students doing so without hesitation. "In this week of Welton's Honor there appeared a profane and unauthorized article. Rather than spend my valuable time ferreting out the guilty persons -- and let me assure you I will find them - - I'm asking any and all students who knows anything about this article to make themselves known here and now. Whoever the guilty persons are, this is your only chance to avoid expulsion from this school."
Before the lecture can continue a telephone rings. All eyes go to where Charlie is seated. The Dalton boy answers the phone and brings it up to his ear.
"Welton Academy. Hello. Yes, he is. Just a moment. Mr. Nolan, it's for you." Charlie stands up and holds the phone towards the headmaster with a look of awe on his face. "It's God. He says we should have girls at Welton."
Laughter follows the statement, but the members of the Dead Poets Society are silent.
Silently, Will grasps Neil's hand.
Neither say a word.

Will paces up and down the halls, her friends watching her with confusion. In their months of knowing the girl they have never seen her this panicked. Any other student that attempts to talk to them are quickly shooed away or ignored completely.
"This could be it for me. I could get kicked out and then I'll be sent back to jail." Will told them, running her hands through her hair nervously. She stops when she notices Charlie walking towards them, a slight limp to his step. His eyes are red with unshed tears and his face is coated in an embarrassed blush.
"You kicked out?" Neil asked as Charlie walks into his dorm room.
"No." Charlie responded, not facing his friends but not closing the door either.
"So what happened?" Neil questioned impatiently.
"I'm to turn everybody in, apologize to the school and all will be forgiven." Charlie said in an even voice, not a hint of emotion seeping through.
"So, what are you gonna do? Charlie!" Will exclaimed when she doesn't get an immediate answer. Charlie then turns around and looks at the girl.
"Damn it, Will. The name is Nuwanda."

A group of teenagers surround Charlie as he sits down with bongos on his lap, retelling his time in Mr. Nolan's office. Charlie seems slightly more upbeat than the last time they saw him. His face is no longer red and he no longer has tears in his eyes. As the story continues Neil doesn't seem to be paying attention. Instead his eyes are on Will that sits a few feet away, Lord of the Rings sitting on her lap as she tunes out the conversation around her.
