Tony himself looks down for a second. He looks like he understands what I'm saying. Although I wouldn't be surprised because he is Iron Man. He's seen his fair share of fights.
After a moment of silence, Mr. Stark speaks again. "So you want to look out for the little guy? You want to do your part. Make the world a better place. All that, right?"
"Y-yeah yeah." Peter nervously stammers. "Just looking after the little guy. That's- That's what it is..."
I reach over and squeeze his hand as reassurance. He looks at me and I give him a sympathetic smile as if to say "We'll get through this together."
Mr. Stark stands and sighs. He comes over to us. He points to Peter's leg and says "I'm gonna sit here so you move the leg." He sits down and hesitantly puts a hand on Peter's shoulder. "You two got passports?"
"Oh. No- no we don't. We've never had reason to get one." I reply.
"You ever been to Germany?"
"No." Peter answers.
"Oh, you'll love it!"
Peter and I give each other a "What does that mean?" look.
"Sir." I say "We can't go to Germany."
"Why?"
"We have... homework," Peter says, uncertain, but it was a garbage excuse.
"I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that." Tony stands and walks towards the door.
I chime in. "No. Really sir. We can't just drop out of school."
Mr. Stark is straight-up ignoring us at this point though so he continues. "Might be a little dangerous." He reaches for the doorknob. "Better tell Aunt Hottie I'm taking you on this field trip-"
Suddenly, Peter stands up and webs Mr. Stark's hand to the knob. "Don't tell Aunt May."
"Alright, Spiderman."
---
"Now get me out of this."
