It was over the next day when I woke up alone in bed. I went downstairs in the kitchen and I saw her sitting on a chair with a cup of coffee in front of her.

"Which one are you?" I asked, walking over the counter to make myself one.

"The original," She replied plainly, making me sigh defeatedly. "How did you switched back?" Turning to look at her, there was confusion written on her face.

"Why was 2012 me in your bed last night?" She asked instead.

"Well..." I paused for a moment, taking a seat from across her and cleared my throat, "We talked for hours, and we also had maybe two bottles of wine so we were a bit tipsy," I admitted like it was a question so important that I had to answer but honestly I felt like telling her because I was happy as a bliss last night.

The pool of tears clouded her eyes as she looked down since Natasha Romanoff never had a confidence to cry in front of anyone, especially to me.

I looked at her and hesitantly asked, "How did it go with 2012 me?"

She took a while to respond and then swallowed thickly before meeting my eyes again. "I just lost you," She admitted, feeling the sadness build up in her chest, "And I still don't know why it happened, and even if I spent the whole day looking after 2012 you, I still missed the part where I lost you for the next eleven years."

At this point, the woman in front of me was tearing up, hot tears running down her face as she stared back into my eyes and all I did was nothing to comfort her.

I sat back on the chair and breathe in a handful of air, "I have work to do," I reasoned, standing up from the table and she didn't stop me.

"Taliyah, sweetheart, you're late for school," I stated, as I opened the door to her room. I looked around the place and it was empty, furrowing my eyebrows, I turned around and looked at Natasha. "What time is it?" I asked.

"Ten," She responds plainly while I gather my things from the study room, and then grabbed my leather jacket that was placed on the chair.

"C'mon," I stated a bit harshly to Natasha and she looked up at me confused. "I'll explain later, now grab your things so we can go," I added, already out the door, "And lock the door!" I yelled back at her, swiftly walking down the stairs since the elevator was out of order.

"Are you going to tell me or...?" Natasha trailed off, casually sitting next to me on the passenger side, after 30 minutes of driving.

I rolled my eyes, "You're coming to work with me," I answered, making her whip her head to look at me.

"You don't have a job," She points out, making me send her a look. "And I thought we were going to look for Taliyah," She added again.

"We are," I retorted, pulling over at a small computer shop, "That's why we're here," I sent her a playful smirk, causing her to blush as I made my way inside the shop.

Natasha followed behind me, eyeing everything around her as if she's going to slit their throat one after another.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see a bundle of fiery redheaded girl, enjoying herself without us, not noticing we even walked in.

"I see you," I playfully sang the words outloud, making Taliyah groan ever so loudly before saying goodbye to her bestfriend who she cut classes with.

"Hi, mom," She greeted Natasha, pecking a kiss on her cheek, completely confusing her.

While me on the other hand was enterring another room that only I and Taliyah know.
"You didn't go to school?" It was evident in Natasha's tone that she was unhappy about it.

"So," I started, getting both of their attention, "Tell me what you see Nat," I added while staring at a wall, filled with images and stashed papers with red marks to indicate that the case is closed, but one of the images on the very top was a guy.

Natasha then stepped closer to where I was, looking at the images carefully. After a minute or two she looked at me with unreaded expression.

"What are you planning to do, Y/N?" She lowly asked, voice going to a deeper octave.

"That's your brother," I stated instead. She still looked at me without falterring, "Vindiktor Romanov, he was the person who I had one on one with the day you found me outside the compound bleeding to death, he was unkilable," You shrugged at the last part. "And also, your fatger, Ivan Romanov, threatened me to broke up with you and raise Taliyah on my own, but now he's deceased, which leaves us with Vindiktor Romanov."

I find it odd that Taliyah has her mouth shut, but when I looked around the room she wasn't even here with us, probably run away to some places with her friends or hanging out at the orpanaged since she always like kids.

"What are you saying?" She asked once more.

I sighed, "Your brother is responsible for the swapping thing that happened with you, and I have a theory that they are planning to go back in time and change what happened."

She stayed quiet for a while, thinking to herself, "Why would they want to change what happened?"

Contemplating whether to tell her the truth, because if  I'm being honest I couldn't quite wrap my head around that thought and I've been avoiding it since, well, forever.

"Y/N?" She pried, stepping closer to me, as she captured my chin gently in her hands, holding me still so I won't look away, and I closed my eyes for a mere second before opening them again.

"To kill you," I blurt out all at once, "He wants me to kill you — after I broke up with you, but I couldn't," You inhaled sharply, "And now, he's going back in time to do it himself the moment he sees your vulnerability." Pausing for a while, I looked deeply into her eyes and added, "And I'm your weakness..."
