"What was your friend talking about earlier? That whatever ball. What is it?" Luna questions as she swings Chan and her intertwined hands back and forth while walking down the hallway.

The boys had been talking about it when she woke up. She overheard them in the hallway. Chan hadn't been there—at least she didn't hear him. A ball—as in a ball game or an actual big ball with tons of fancy dresses?

"You'll see later. We've got everything figured out for you already. You won't have to lift a finger. There are some rules though. We'll go over them a bit later." Chan smiles at her while she watches her skirt fan out around her legs with each step she takes.

Luna's always been easy to amuse. She's lighthearted and doesn't mind doing the simplest of things. For her, sitting at home on the floor in front of the tv with a bowl of gummy bears and one of the boys is more than enough. She could sit there for hours on end if you let her. Binge watching dramas with someone at her side or even alone, she's rarely ever bored. Unless, of course, one of the boys promises her they'll do something with her if she can just wait a bit. That's when she gets really bored. So bored the boys usually just abandon what they were doing to deal with her.

"Rules? I don't even have rules at home. Why would I need rules at a ball?" Luna tilts her head in his direction as he sets her last bag down next to the door.

"Listen, Baby Girl, we won't be around humans while we're there. It'll be really dangerous. There will be all kinds of people like us. Demons. Angels. Hybrids. It's hard to know what any of them are thinking. The rules are only to keep you safe. Alright?" Chan takes her face in his hands and rests his forehead against hers.

Luna nods as she reaches up to take his hands in hers. Chan can't help but melt as she pulls away to play with his fingers. Looking at her makes his heart warm. He can't stop himself from thinking back to the very first time he saw his own little human. He'd joined ChangBin with JiSung at his side. A tiny, silky black haired girl, no older than ten at the time, peered out around ChangBin to see him. The moment she met his eyes, he knew he could never leave. Her bloodline was different. There was something hidden deep within her waiting to come out. Now he knows exactly what it was. After all those years, he finally got to witness the reveal first hand.

"Did you get everything you're gonna need, Lu?" Felix asks as he comes up behind her. He squeezes her shoulders and rests his cheek against hers.

"Yep. I think. You guys did most of the packing. If I'm missing something it's on you." Luna teases as she lets go of Chan's hands so he can go help the others.

"We won't be back for a good two years. Are you sure? All your stuffed animals? Your chargers? Your Switch? Your games? Your laptop?" Felix begins naming things off as she spins to face him.

"Check. Check. Check. Check. And check." Luna nods her head along in response.

"Did you eat?" SeungMin questions as he slips by them to step outside.

"Not yet." Luna chews on her bottom lip nervously.

"Kitchen counter." MinHo ruffles her hair in passing before hurrying out after SeungMin.

"Go and eat, Lu. We'll get everything ready for us to leave. We're leaving in an hour, so make sure you're nice and full." Felix kisses her forehead and gently pushes her in the direction of the kitchen.

JiSung sits on the floor next to HyunJin's bed. He stares up at the boy's slender, unmoving figure. While YeoSang managed to leave HyunJin with nothing more than a few faint marks, he wasn't able to combat the effects of WooYoung's attack. Someone in as fragile of a state as HyunJin had been, usually doesn't make it out of a Sypri attack alive.
