HyunJin hums softly as he smooths her hair down. It'd taken him a good two hours to get her to calm down enough to lay with him. He truthfully didn't think she'd even do that after everything that happened. The more time that passed after the incident, the worse her throat looked. There's dark bruises and deep cuts, but luckily, nothing life threatening. She'll survive, but not without a lot of fear.

"You need to sleep, Love." HyunJin sighs as SeungMin shifts on the bed beside them.

Ever since the two slipped into headspace, SeungMin's been uneasy. He wants to know how she is and if he can help, but he also knows that HyunJin's the best person for her to be with right now. His strong emotions and his love for everything her is something no one can replace.

"Jinnie isn't going anywhere. I'll stay right here while you sleep. I won't close my eyes for a second. I'll watch over you and keep you safe, Love." HyunJin whispers softly as she nods weakly.

Luna cuddles closer to him and takes a shaky breath before allowing her eyes to finally flutter shut. All of her crying has left her with little to no energy. She doesn't have much of a choice, she has to sleep. At least now, she knows they'll believe her if she feels something is a bit off.

HyunJin patiently waits for her to drift into a deep sleep before slipping out of headspace momentarily. His eyes meet SeungMin's and SeungMin looks away. He rubs at the back of his neck with a sigh.

"I can't sleep." SeungMin frowns as his eyes fall on Luna's damaged neck.

"I know. I won't be able to either. I doubt the others will. We just have to keep her safe. She's sleeping right now. We can go longer without sleep than she can. A single night won't hurt us. Even a week. We'll be alright." HyunJin reaches out to cup SeungMin's face.

Just hours earlier, HyunJin had been the one in a delicate place. He'd been so fragile and heartbroken that SeungMin had been the one holding him and soothing him, but his problems mean nothing when Luna is worse off. SeungMin was right, Luna's bloodline is his work. The delicate Arys had been the first human he worked on. Back then, Fayne did most of the work. They didn't like letting genetics play a role. It made them feel lazy.

Arys was nothing like her parents. She was HyunJin's best work. He just never expected she'd be so gentle she'd bring a demon into her family. He also didn't expect that he'd ever see that same demon again—especially after what he did to him. ChangBin has no idea. It has to stay that way.

"What if ChangBin really did start something again? What if any one of us did? She's the one who suffers. She's our weakest link. If they can get to her, they can get all of us. Internal conflict can tear us apart. Once our trust in one another is severed, we're done." SeungMin stares down at his lap while a continuous cycle of what ifs play through his head.

"It won't get to that point. I promise." HyunJin does his best to lean toward SeungMin, but Luna's body stand between the two of them.

"Kiss me god dammit." HyunJin whines as he scrunches his nose up.

"You're cute when you're mad." SeungMin can't help but lighten up at the sight. HyunJin truly is his other half. He's his emotion.

"Kiss me or I'll never kiss you again." HyunJin threatens, but both of them know it won't hold up. He wouldn't last a day without stealing at least a forehead kiss.

SeungMin gives in to the request and leans in toward him. He presses his lips to the oldest softly and smiles into it. The feeling of HyunJin's delicate lips on his helps was his worry. He will one thousand percent never lose HyunJin. The others, there's no guarantee, but he won't let them go without a fight.
