The alarm was blaring in my ears. Not a pleasant sound but I couldn't trust myself to wake up this early on my own will.

I got up to take a shower and get ready for the day ahead of me. I didn't know if I was going to enjoy this or dread this.

I got dressed and looked over at Hu Tao. She was still asleep so I left her some cash and a note telling her that I'd be out for a couple of hours.

I made my way to the hotel's cafeteria and grabbed some coffee and made my way out to the address Childe sent me.

     oh, shut up.

I turned my phone off and put it down in the cup holder next to my coffee. I plugged my phone in for the aux and turned my playlist on.

It took a bit to find the place. It was almost in the middle of nowhere but it was kinda easy to find.

The house was behind some woods and looked almost abandoned but it was a very nice home. There was a car, a Toyota Supra parked outside.

I parked in the driveway and made my way up to the door to knock on it. Is this dude a prick?

Someone opened the door and I had to look down a little. 'Oh my god he's tiny.. he's shorter than Venti!'

"Uh, hello?" He said snobbishly. He looked like he was uninterested in anyone he had to talk to. He had short purplish hair. He wore red eyeliner on the outside of his eyes. Is he some kinda rockstar?

"Uh, hi. Uhm, Childe told me to come see you?" I questioned. Did that damn ginger even warn this guy I was coming? I put my hands behind my back.

"No, he didn't. But, you know him? Unfortunate for you." He walked away from the door. "Come on in!" He shouted. I obeyed, not wanting to get on his bad side.

He sat down at his table and I sat across from him. He raised an eyebrow, insisting I explain my reason for coming here.

"Oh uh, right," I cleared my throat to continue, "I actually don't know why he sent me here, he just told me to come to see you at this address." I put my hair out of my face.

"Considering you know him, I'm assuming you're a driver? Your name?" He leaned back in the chair and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Uh yeah. I was out for 2 years but, I accidentally got myself into a tournament. I'm y/n l/n, by the way." I started to play with my fingers under the table. He was another intimidating guy, even for being short.

"How far?" He asked. "Regionals, they're this Friday," I answered back to him. Why am I even here? How does Childe know him?

"My guess is Childe wanted you here for training. That god damn beanstalk.." He scoffed under his breath.

"Uh, Mr..." I questioned, trying to hint at a name. "Scaramouche." He gave me the answer I needed.

"Right. Mr. Scaramouche, if it's a hassle that I'm here, I can leave." I got up from my seat and pushed the chair in.
