Her POV
Dalawang araw na ang nakalipas simula ng nangyari ang araw na 'yon. At dalawang araw narin akong di makalabas-labas sa kwarto ko, and I am scared... natatakot akong makita sila... and seems like everything is still on process.
Parang ayaw kong maniwala sa mga nangyari. Pero I was there eh! Nasaksihan ko ang lahat na nangyari, the teleportation, their abilities and they are vampires! For pete's sake!
I am having nightmares because of what happened.
Nabalik lang ako sa sarili ko ng may bigla na lang pumasok sa kwarto ko.
It's mommy! Kaya napaupo naman ako kaagad ng maayos.
She seems in a good mood right now. She's smiling from ear to ear and it rarely happens. I am wondering what makes her in a good mood.
"Hey!" she greeted.
I tried to smile, kasi for the past few days ngayon niya lang ako kinausap ulit. "Good morning, mommy." bati ko sa kanya.
Lumapit naman ito sa akin. "I would like to congratulate you." aniya.
I don't get her. Congratulate me? from what?
My forehead creased. "R-really? From what mom?" I asked confusedly.
She took a deep breath, "Well, Mr. Vier told me everything, Hara."
Agad namang kumabog ang dibdib ko. Levi? Anong sinabi niya kay mommy?!
"A-ano ang sinabi niya sayo m-mommy?!" natatakot kong tanong sa kanya.
"Everything that you did, at wala ka bang balak na sabihin sa akin iyon? I am sure that your Dad will be very happy! You did a great job!" she praised me. Hindi ko alam kong dapat ba akong ma flatter or kabahan sa sitwasyon ko ngayon.
"Mom, I don't get it."
"He said you pursued him, and you even made a presentation to close the deal."
Mas lalo namang kumunot ang noo ko sa sinasabi ni mommy sa akin ngayon.
Alam kong hindi ako nakapag present sa kanya the last time, because of what happened.
"No, m-mom I didn't—"
"I'm glad about it, Hara." sabi ni mommy at nginitian niya ako.
My heart is melting, as I've said this moment is rarely to happen.
Gusto kong magalit sa ginawa niya sa akin no'ng nakaraan but I can't. I love my mother so much, and seeing her like this right now, makes me happy too. Even if I feel scared... scared about Leviticus.
"R-really, mom?" I asked her.
She nodded. "Yeah, I am." she answe and a smile formed into my lips.
I am very glad to hear this from my mother.
"Thank you so much mommy!" and I couldn't help myself to hug her.
I am longing for this for a long time. For this warmth, this feeling and this moment. And this feeling feels new to me because I grew up distant from her.
"I am expecting more from you, Zahara," she said. At napahiwalay na ito ng yakap sa akin. "And when I say more... you will do better than what you did this time." aniya.
"Of course, m-mom. I will." I said politely.
"Alright, you may go downstairs now. Mr. Vier is waiting for you." sabi niya.
