Blake's POV
She smiled at us. She actually smiled at us. She smiled even though it had to have hurt with the split lip and bruised cheek she had because of us. I felt terrible. She thanked us for only not hurting her, for not creating more pain than we already have.
The truth was, I liked her. A lot. I had since sixth grade. It had begun then as a way to get close to her but eventually, I realized I couldn't stop. It was the only way she would be near me, she expected it. All of my friends loved it, they expected it too. I couldn't just stop after all of that, I couldn't afford to lose my friends. Even before everything, she wouldn't even be my friend. She never smiled, she was always in the back of the room, reading a book or writing something. She never spoke to anyone.
Toby invited us to his place. He was pretty rich. He had every home commodity he could wish for and even maids. Jake was always kissing one before the sun set though I could never seem to figure out how he managed it. I only liked Olivia. Sure, I made out with other girls in the hallways but only to make her jealous. It never worked.
The two started talking about which movie to watch. "Let's watch the first 007 movie." Jake grinned before realizing his mistake and looking over to me for approval of his choice. The two were always looking for approval from their leader. I nodded, I loved those movies. Briefly, I wondered if Olivia liked them too but quickly pushed it from my mind. I need to stop thinking about her. Tonight, it's just us guys.
