Khalil's Pov
I closed my eyes when all I heard was
BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM
But I opened my eyes because hammers don't make that sound, only guns.
I looked around me to see Cass opening his eyes as well and all the men that had us surrounded were dead including the guy who was leading them.
"What the hell, who killed them?" Cass asks pulling me into his arms and I hugged him back.
"That would be us" I already knew who it was, he acts so much like Cole that it kills me
I pulled away from Cass "Glad you guys came in time, I'm truly grateful I said looking at Cass and then at him
"It's no problem, you know we got to stick together" he gives me a little grin.
"Yeah, thanks Luke did only you and your team come?" I said rubbing my sore arm
"Nah, he came along too, you think he was going to let me handle this by myself if it involves you" Luke says wrapping something around my hand
"Wait you mean-"
"Yup who did you think planned this" he says rolling his eyes
"So where is he?" I asked looking around
"Probably making sure there is no one else around before he shows his face"
I nod
''Who do you guys mean?'' Cass said picking up his gun and putting it back in his waist
''I mean our boss'' Luke said putting his hand out to Cass
Cass takes his hand and shakes it ''I'm Cass''
''Luke, and I'll need you and my buddy Khalil to tell me what happened once we get to our place of course'' Luke said leading the way
Once we got in the jeep Cass, Luke, and I sat in the back and the driver began to drive.
''So how did you guys find us?'' Cass asks
"We tracked Khalil, the boss needed to get in contact with him so when he called his phone and he didn't answer we knew something was wrong'' Luke said as I reached over grabbing two bottled waters for Cass and myself.
''So where's Cole I need to talk to him about something. I thought you said he was here, where is he?'' I said giving Cass his water
Luke looks at me for a minute ''Haven't you taken a look at the driver since you came in the car Khalil'' he asks
Both my eyes and Cass moves toward the driver's seat, looking through the review mirror my eyes are connected with a familiar pair.
C-cole..
suddenly the car stops and the doors open I didn't realize we reach it already.
Luke walks around and joins me and Cass on our side when we come out of the car. We stand and waited for Cole to come out.
the door opens as the cool breeze from the AC blows on us, I shivered at that but it was immediately replaced by warmth because of Cass who steps behind me.
He fully steps out of the car in all black. he turned towards us looking behind me at Cass assessing him then finally looking at me with a smile.
''I missed ya dude!'' he said pulling me into a hug, sometimes I forget how childish Cole can be, anyways I hugged him back as well.
''Thanks for coming to our rescue man'' I stepped back from him ''This is Cass'' I said gesturing to him.
''N-nice to meet the guy who Khalil idols so much'' Cass says holding his hand out. I blushed
Cole and Cass chuckle ''Nice to officially meet you, Cass'' Cole said taking his hand and giving him a smile
''Now Khalil it seems like you need some more training, both of you" he said looking at me then at Cass.
He starts walking towards his front door with Like on the side of him talking about something.
"Come on, I want you to meet everyone" I said holding Cass hands
He smiles at me.
"I know alot has happened in the past hour but I haven't forgot our conversation, and I don't want to lose you Cass, so I want you to meet the people who I care about the most in this world as a first step" I said looking at him
He looks at me not saying anything making me nervous "I-I mean it's okay if you don't want to anymore-" he cuts me off by grabbing my face and smashing his lips onto mine
"I still want to meet your family and get to know more about you" he says before pressing a light kiss on my lips.
"Come on love birds! Come inside we gotta deal with your wounds" Luke shouts
We started jogging until we reached all the way up the stairs.
