Chapter 8: Ending

"Hey, catch!" Sonic said as he caught the blue cube and threw it back at Jet, the green hawk.

"W-What?!" Jet was confused as he caught the cube.

Sonic landed in front of Jet as Knuckles ran with Y/N hand-in-hand with Tails next to them. Since Jet didn't get an answer, he got pissed. "Hphm! I lost. So don't play games with me! I don't want your pity, nor do I need it!" Jet then held out the cube to Sonic.

Wow... Rude much? Y/N thought with a deadpanned look. 

"Wha-? Are you crazy?" It was Wave's voice who walked over with Storm. "If they don't want it, then let's take it." She then took the cube, causing Jet to look dumbfounded. "Treasure is treasure!" Jet didn't respond and simply walked with his team.

Sonic and the gang watched in silence. "Ah, I think it's time to leave now. Tails?" He looked at the fox. 

"Yeah." He nodded.

Just as the gang was about to walk away, an angry bitching voice stopped all of them in their tracks. "Sooonic?!" It was Amy.

"Amy?" Sonic didn't want to deal with her. He knew what was gonna happen since he didn't catch her doing a tornado on Eggman, who held Amy and the cube. It was like he had an ultimate down or something like he had to make one choice. The pink hedgehog or the cube. 

Amy clenched her fists. "How could you dive into Eggman knowing I was there?!"

Y/N decided to try and back Sonic up. "Amy, I didn't think there was another choice. At least you are still strong."

"Stay out of this, Y/N!"

Knuckles got mad and growled, clearly showing his sharp teeth. Just as he was about to teach Amy a lesson, Y/N gently put a hand against his chest, shaking her head. Sonic looked grateful for the trying back-up. He looked nervously at Amy. "Well, Amy... I thought... it'd be... okay... with you, and, um..."

Amy didn't look convinced or happy. In fact, she was angrier than ever. She took out her famous piko-piko hammer. The hedgehogs had a chase. "Sooonic! Come back here. Waaahhh!"

Knuckles, Tails, and Y/N looked deadpanned. Amy was truly out of control.

Later~

Everyone was down from the Babylon Garden. Sonic and Jet stood atop of the rock, next to each other with others behind them. 

"So, you're leaving this place?" Sonic asked Jet.

"Yeah. The back of the carpet has more words of wisdom. It says, 'This was invented to allow Babylonians to travel all around the world to gather treasure. Some things never change, huh? But enough of this friendly banter, Sonic. You better make sure you're ready when we meet face to face once again."

Aladdin!

"You bet!"

The boys smirked at each other.

"Come on, Jet. It's time to split..." But Wave was cut off by Storm because of a rough slap on the back. Y/N winched. "Hey, I wanted to say that..."

Jet groaned.

Tails, however, was a smart fox. "We should split, too. Right?"

"Yeah.
