Kate's POV
      "So what movie's in now?"

"I was thinking 'The Secret Life of Pets'."

      "Sounds good."

We start to walk the streets until we reach the theater. It's crowded so I'm guessing we're gonna have to get in quick. "Let's go."

We pay for our tickets and watch the movie. We get out of the movie, laughing our heads off for some reason. "That was a good movie."

"Bitch, we didn't watch any of it."

She had a point. We were definitely up to something. It for sure wasn't watching that movie if you get my drift. "Okay, I'll give you that." I tell her, kissing her cheek. I take her hand, intertwining hers with mine and walking down to a fast food restaurant.

"What about this one? Looks good." I point to the restaurant next to us. I don't what it was, but they seemed to look like they've got the perfect food options. "Sure."

We enter the place and at once, we're greeted by the most courteous waiter. "A pleasure to have you here with us tonight. Table for two?"

We both nod and he takes us towards the window seats. "Table for two. Enjoy!" He beams as he pulls back the chairs to help sit us down. "Thank you." We say as he takes out the handkerchiefs to lay flat on us.

"I'll be with your menus shortly."

We nod and he leaves. "This place seems fancy."

"It really does. But I don't think we have anything to worry about though."

        "How come?"

"I may not be related to Tony. But I for sure as hell know that I've got a share of his money." (Y/N) beams while taking out her wallet to show a credit card that Tony Stark had given her. "Don't you run out?"

"Let's see A - I barely spend any of this cash, and B - Pepper continues to send me a ton every week."

        "Lucky."

I groan into my seat and she smiles, looking back at the credit card. She looks at it for a second, running her hands across the card and the logo and absorbing it all. She looks sad for a moment. It doesn't take me a second to figure out why.

"You still miss him, don't you?"

(Y/N) looks up from the card to me. She keeps quiet for a second and stays that way. I don't say anything because I know how hard it is for her to be vulnerable with someone. It took her about a year and a half to be vulnerable with Natasha and Clint, I've heard.

"I mean, yeah. He was basically like my dad. Literally."

She finally utters those words and she buries the card in her wallet and lies her head on her arms. I see her get kinda uncomfortable and I can instantly tell it's because of her wound. "Painkillers?"

She shakes her head, "Don't wanna depend on those too much." I nod, but still making a mental note to have the pills around me after dinner. She sits up right, trying to find a position comfortable. And she looks like she does.

I know there's something on her mind, but she's too hesitant to say it. "What is it?"

She looks up at me again. "It's just — I've got... I've got something to tell you."
