Seventeen

Clara looked beside her to see Edward was gone hunting. She walked to the window with a sheet around her and smiled at this relaxation. Focusing on a baby was something Clara never thought would happen, but she was enjoying her time in bed with the love of her life. Well, that is till they need to go hunting. 

Edward arrived back to see Carla in the sheet and walked up behind her. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." She replies. "Just enjoying this peaceful place."

Edward smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. "I remember the time the two of us enjoyed our peace and quiet. There was no drama and no human being in our lives, but that all changed." She sighed. "I hated that we left, but Alexis wanted to protect Bella."

"Let's not think of them." He says as he turned her around. "Let's focus on us."

Clara smiled as she kissed him. "I love you, Edward."

"I love you, Clara."

Later that day, Clara was walking around when she heard the phone ringing. "Alice." She said as she walked in to answer it.

Edward leaned against the door as Clara and Alice talked. He walked over to her and moved her long hair away before kissing her neck. Clara closed her eyes and leaned her head back against his shoulder. She didn't care what her sister was talking about as she hung up the phone. "Edward..."

"Hmm..."

"What has gotten into you?"

"I don't know, but I need you now."

"So do I."

Edward picked her up and carried her to the living room.

"I'm going to shoot Edward."

"Why?" Jasper asked.

"Interrupted the call between me and my sister. He always does that."

Jasper shook his head as he wrapped his arms around her. "Maybe Edward and I have something else in common." He says. "Spending time with our mates."

Alice smiled as she put the phone on charge. She looked at him smiling as she wanted to spend time with Jasper. Clara was safe. She had Edward so she doesn't have anything to worry about.
